You sure you did not mistake Stepbrother for Stepmother? Nothing on any news feeds about the stepmother.

OK PH sleuths we know

  • She left home with all her electronic kit to go somewhere local
  • The stepbrother had reason to totally taker off the planet
  • He is also pretty thick as he made an amateur attempt to hide her even after cutting up
  • Or he panicked
If he was having relations with his stepsister why would his girlfriend support him ?

Why / how did he get a band of mates round to help him - how did that phone call go ?

I've discussed the case myself in the office today and the possibility has been mentioned.

Possibility I have no problem with but it is, as mentioned, a little bit weird the few people that are making up full blown murder mystery novels in their heads and blurting the general story line out on here as if it's a full gone conclusion.

Five others (4M + 1F) were arrested earlier in the week on suspicion of assisting an offender, but have largely dropped out of the headlines in the last 24hrs while the two main characters were charged. Anyway this afternoon the police have been granted a second 24hr extension to keep all five in for further questioning. I'm not sure what that means with regards to the case against them, whether it's strong, weak, or exists at all.

Don't things normally go quiet once arrests are made?
Probably so as not to prejudice any trial I suppose.

Doesn't necessarily indicate loyalty, were they of a drug taking nature then you'd likely be surprised what you could encourage them to do for a not huge amount of cash

1. No we don't. It's entirely possible she never left the house full stop. I believe the police have been back to continue searching it further since these arrests were made

2. What reason would that be then?

3. Based on what? We don't have any details. He seems to have been quite successful at disposing the parts they've yet to find!

With regards the mates, unless they had direct involvement in the murder then I find it more plausible they were roped into something that they weren't aware the full details of. At least that's what you hope, because the alternative is five people decided to help dispose of a body for sts and giggles.

3 of the men and the woman all now formally charged with assisting an offender.
1 of the men released without charge.

bit late for that, especially on PH

strange the naming and shaming rules only seem to be applied to such major matters as a poster unhappy with buying a lemon of a car or whatever but if its murder or similar trifling matters it's game on for defamatory, contemptious and prejudicial comments

I don't even know what to say tbh.

You read stuff, you see stuff, you become a little desensitised to a lot of the bad stuff that goes on, but reading that you do wonder just WTF is wrong with those people.

I agree. The revelations reported today make me feel quite uncomfortable and I was sort of hoping this thread wouldn't resurface.

Poor girl.
