Surprised no thread has started on this incident yet.

16-year-old girl gone missing from St George area of Bristol, about 3-4 miles from where I live. My football coach lives four doors up from the girl but doesn't know her. Says the police have been round twice asking questions.

No one (publicly) seems to have a clue what has happened to her. They searched Troopers Hill nature reserve yesterday and a group of 100+ people went out looking for her. Just hoping she's okay and it's all about an argument...... nothing more sinister, we hope.

I saw this on the news a couple of days back. She's been missing a while now hasn't she?

Yes, a week today. Walked out with just her phone, laptop and tablet apparently.

One of two "missing" people from Bristol. The other is a guy from Stockwood who got involved in a fight in a Monaco nightclub, ran off and subsequently missed his flight home. Not been seen since....

These things don't tend to end well with her walking through the front door having stayed at a mates for a week.

There was that one who went to France with her teacher but they soon found her.

I think we can conclude our enquiries upon sight of that series 1 Discovery.
The rest is just formalities now.

Wtf at the dad's comments. Very strange thing to say

The whole thing sounds very sinister. Phone and laptop gone, and switched off but no clothes taken, sinister indeed.

I think I know who the family liaison officer will be keeping a particular eye on.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's already back in for questioning after that. Very very strange behaviour.

I would suggest the comment (however weird) is more to do with his assumption that his darling girl is still a virgin.

That's pretty normal I think. When Louise Smith first disappeared c. 20 years ago everyone in my street and the surrounding area were questioned.

You don't need to discus it with them, its really quite evident from how they act. My daughter is 16 years old and I know when the 'painters' are due in by the foul mood and snappy answers etc....

My money is on the Father.

He is doing the classic 'diversion tactic'. Indeed, where on earth did he glean the information about her being 'on'? I can't imagine any teenage girl discussing that with her Father? His request for wives and girlfriends to check partners underwear for blood would suggest he has some knowledge of that. Also, in these cases, it's pretty unheard of for the parents to even contemplate, let alone publicly declare they think the child is dead/raped etc-unless they know otherwise.

The white van thing is a red herring.

Finally, the possessions. Does anyone seriously think she left the house of her own accord without her purse and makeup-the father didn't think of these things 'cos he's a man.. The electronics went but they are things that could damn the fathers account of timings of her disappearance.

He's in it up to his neck.

Well. Let's just bypass the investigation, trial and judge and proceed straight to the hanging eh?

Have they bothered to check she hasn't been stuffed inside a suitcase in the loft? How many searches was it before they found Tia Sharpe?

These sort of things almost always come back to being one of the family members.
