Pictured arriving at court with a long-term partner, presumably who is standing by him despite him entering a guilty plea.

Wonder if she would do the same if he wasn't earning a premiership footballer's salary.
To be fair, she looks about 15 too
She's standing by his wallet more like.

He'll get a decent chunk of jail, she'll divorce him and clear him out.
They have just had a baby as well so she will defiantly getting some cash from him

So 10months after he was arrested over this and they've had a baby? She didn't waste any time securing that nest egg, eh!

Ruthless.

And demonstrates that footballers have both a dick and a brain, but only enough blood to run one at a time.

I'm betting that since he apparently KNEW she was underage that he'll get a decent chunk of time. Perhaps 4 years.
he has just plead guilty to the grooming and kissing, he's also charged with penetration

If they can't prove penetration - then he may well get off jail time. This woman was spared jail for just doing 'a bit of grooming and kissing' even though her victims were considerably younger.

She's his girlfriend rather than wife, so no divorce. Their kid was born a few weeks before his arrest.

So, picking up 15yo girls whilst your missus is at home pregnant, presumably? The mind boggles at the stupidity of some players.

His footballing career is over regardless of the outcome of the remaining two charges, surely?

If she was 15 at the time of the offence but was portraying herself as older (both online and offline) and there's evidence that she appeared older then assuming he's got a good mitigator on the team then he may get off very lightly and the right publicist might keep his career onside too. Or not. And if he's clearly been at the kiddy-fiddling then he'll get whacked - and so hope all of us.

AJ was a waste of space whilst at Manchester City. He had the talent to become the new Mike Summerbee, but preferred to spend his time living it up in nightclubs.

Roberto Mancini was always losing his patience with him.

His career is over.

I feel sorry for Sunderland, they paid £10m for him.

He'll struggle to get back on any pitch with all the crowd abuse he'll receive anyway.

He will surely play again, assuming he's out before he is too old.

If he's good enough (and he is) and cheap enough (and he will be) then some under-pressure Chairman will give him a job.

but he had more money to spend of lawyers, pretty clear but case of the 2 tier law society fuelled by money, I just hope one day I never end up in court as I am sure I would be found guilty.

he's admitted knowing that she was under 16 - so I don't think he has any defence.

He must have really messed up if he's left himself without any defence that he believed she was 16.

Thats not the issue. He plead guilty to the first two charges to mitigate the next two. I can see the defence already. Once having found out her real age, he wanted nothing more to do with her etc etc. The problem is, the girl is saying he kept coming back for more. Thats the crux of the matter. Very luckily for him, she was 15 in the first encounter and what wiill damn him, is if a cheeky text is produced in court that reads the following...

'Areet love, yous a canny lass. Ah reet loved ya last neet. Yous seemed younga than what yous telling me tho lass?'

'Aye, im only a bairn of 15 just now'

'Aye, ya sinna! Canna be goin with a bairn though! But thas okay, yall be soon sweet 16? if yous wanny meet up fer a Nandos cos i can afford that, beein a famuos football player, like, as long as ya promise to keep it quiet, we can bang each other mortal, afterwards, like'

'Ok luv, i wont tell Luv, promise'.......

If tgat text is produced in Court, I rather don't fancy his chances.

Already plead guilty to the first 2 charges that included penetration, so yes, guilty as sin. What he's contesting is that it didnt happen again, once he discovered her age. That's what he is going to trial for.

I hope you can understand the subtle but rather important difference.?
