The show won't work without the dynamic of the 3 of them, it won't work with Chris Evans or Chris Harris, if he gets sacked that's it.

They will have to go and do the same show for someone else, if the contract allows for it.

It's not about a left wing bias.

It is about a guy, who thinks he is bigger than the show itself, continually running into problems with the regulators and now allegedly hitting a producer?

If you continually got your company hauled up in front of the regulators, then you punched someone whilst on your final warning, would you still expect management to brush over the issue and not suspend you, no matter how good you were?

Really, if the report in the link is true, it is about someone punching another employee, that is what it is coming down to, surely we are not condoning that?

Gary Lineker was the 'star in a car' for this Sunday's show. He's tweeted 'I don't think I'm ever meant to appear on Top Gear!'

Worse though is this tweet: 'I'm available.' Piers Morgan.

David Baddiel tweeted what he thought was a joke, but ended up showing he can't spell:

Depends what the other guy did to elicit that response.

Name them both or neither. Suspend them both. In the investigation if t turns out Jeremy just attacked him for no reason then sack Jeremy and involve the police. In fact involve the police from the start if it's as bad as that.

The show is about three mates dicking about. Take away one mate (the most vocal and opinionated one) and the entertainment isn't there, the dynamic is lost. If Clarkson goes that's Top Gear done for. It may continue to be made and broadcast with a new presenter(s) but it's still done for.

Well the incident seems to have taken place last week, so maybe they've done the investigation

If that report in Radio Times is true, there can only be one outcome.

Punching a colleague would count as gross misconduct and result in dismissal in any workplace I can think of. It might result in prosecution for assault, too.

Hammond and May must be on good money and under contract so would they go if the show carried on? I've no idea how good friends they all are really.

Harris is a really good jurno - not sure he would/could replace JC in the role he plays.

JC/JM/Hamster will simply continue to make the show but sell it to another channel

If some of you read The Sunday Times for JC's comments. You would realise the TG presenter is a boy's own character. More important. Does the BBC have the legal right to pull a programme that licence fee payers have paid for and want to see. Still shows TOTP with all of its kiddy fiddlers.
