There's this line graph I just invented

Jeremy Paxman -------------------------------------------------------- Jeremy Beadle

You can insert any Jeremy on at any place to come up with a good summation of their character between those two extremes.

I came up with this

Jeremy Paxman -------------------------------------------------------- Jeremy Beadle ------------- Jeremy Clarkson.

It's a good job I didn't do the people with initials JC as I would have had to do

Jesus Christ ------------------------------------------------------------- John Cleese

and I don't have an infinite number of --- to put to the right of Our Lord, the comic messiah, Mr Cleese. laugh

He is a tool and probably the ultimate bar bore who is never wrong and loves himself.

I think the statement read "A producer" - Andy Willman is the executive producer.
Yep that's why I said IF, plus he is probably the one man who could suspend him.

All guess work at this stage.

I like JC but he does act like a childish tit sometimes. It was bound to bite him in the arse sooner or later.

I was actually thinking during Sunday night's episode that it had been a while since the BBC threatened to sack JC.

Hopefully this won't be permanent and all will be back to normal shortly. I need to see the LaFerrari/918/P1 hotlaps first!

He won't starve - at worst he'll get a multi million deal at Dave or at the numerous channels that will sign him/them up..

I bet Channel 4, ITV, Channel 5, Sky etc etc are melting their phones trying to get through to JC et al offering them prime time slot for 'Top Gear 2/Sixth Gear'. BBC shooting themselves in the foot if they can't manage JC to keep TG on air.
Couldn't agree more.

I really hope that TG moves away from the BBC to somewhere not so left leaning.
Really? I'm not sure in what way you think being on the BBC has ruined Top Gear, but I want an hour of TG, not 40 mins.
Indeed, and do you think that JC will have more or less freedom to 'offend' on a channel funded by advertisers?

He probably finally found out who leaked the video of him using the N word. It was never broadcast so someone leaked it.

Already it has 1300 comments rofl

Always good that although limited information on what happened, peoplecannot wait to stick the oar in saying he deserved it, and what an idiot he is.

Maybe this got to him - sign I saw in Hong Kong a couple of weeks ago... If it's ok in HK, why not the UK? Clearly not upsetting anyone there.

[quote=V8 Fettler]Did not Clarkson sell the Top Gear "rights" back to the BBC a couple of years ago? [quote]

Correct - he and Wilman disposed of their stake in the production rights via the Bedder 6 vehicle in 2013. As such, the BBC own all the rights to TG and are exploiting it in approved capitalist fashion. The idea that those evil lefties in the BBC would seek to hamstring their single most commercially successful programme is laughable, but hey, conspiracy theorists will theorise.

I glanced at the headline and my twisted mind read it as 'Clarkson in suspenders', now I have a horrible image in my head, and now, probably, so have you.
You're welcome.

I'm not sure where in the country you are, but I always find a bit of alternative theatre at the (salford) LOWRY or the (Liverpool) Everyman, always good for a laugh.

The problem is that the BBC have just banned all-male panel shows http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-31800...

So no reason why they wouldn't be looking to get rid of Top Gear as an all-male show.

BBC; utter, utter s since the word was invented.

I like this BBC piece;

"At the time, he said the BBC had told him he would be sacked if he made "one more offensive remark, anywhere, at any time".

- so letting go a stray word someone, somewhere might find offensive would result in immediate dismissal, but Savile could grope and bugger his way across the decades at Television Centre without censure...
saville never challenged the beebs feeble political sensibilities while laughing about it though did he.

You can see who the real monsters are .
