What's the basis for the figure you claim? Is it a personal estimate or can you point us in the direction of the supporting data?
Its the figure being touted in the media, also by Ben Collins.Bedder 6 had revenues of £150 million in 2013 and that was only holding half the rights.... Sub zero events aren't included in that number and they make the money from the live shows.
Then you have the dvds sales which go to another arm of the bbc.
Add to that the advertising sold on Dave, which is half owned by the bbc and consists mostly of TG repeats. £100 million profit is, if anything, erring on the side of caution. It could be half as much again.
Cnn report it as £150 million revenue. The figures on quora suggest a production cost below £15m for two seasons a year, plus cost of live shows.
So, what figures are you using and where do they come from?
But then again what would they know about how much profit one of their shows make.
Now if you could just link to the source of your figures we could see for ourselves.
Oisin has told the police that he does not want to press charges.

I had been under the opinion it was more like £50m and that's revenue. The source is that's the figure which has been quoted in most articles including this one from the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-32052...
But then again what would they know about how much profit one of their shows make.

Just google how much profit does top gear make, and all the figures I've used are on the first two pages. But then again what would they know about how much profit one of their shows make.

'm talking about a decision to discontinue now, pre-suspect interview. That wouldn't go near the CPS. If they did progress to a suspect interview then he's eligible for a caution / RJ and I imagine would accept the former.
out of curiosity if someone accepts a caution how does that affect their ability to travel abroad? The Telegraph article makes reference to it being able to affect travel, but doesn't specify how: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/10127...
I can't see how a non-EU country would have access to any police databases. Although I guess they could ask you to declare it and refuse admission that way.
Here's a hot scoop from the Shorpe Telegraph:

I love how all this speculation is based not just on nothing, but on less than nothing.
I also love how the PH censor won't allow Shorpe.

Well, actually it was according to the following list of fan favourites published in Dr Who magazine #413 :
1. THE CAVES OF ANDROZANI (1984) starring PETER DAVISON
2. BLINK (2007) starring DAVID TENNANT
3. GENESIS OF THE DALEKS (1975) starring TOM BAKER
4. THE TALONS OF WENG-CHIANG (1977) starring TOM BAKER
5. THE EMPTY CHILD (2005) starring CHRISTOPHER ECCLESTON
6. HUMAN NATURE (2007) starring DAVID TENNANT
7. PYRAMIDS OF MARS (1975) starring TOM BAKER
8. CITY OF DEATH (1979) starring TOM BAKER
9. THE ROBOTS OF DEATH (1977) starring TOM BAKER
10. BAD WOLF (2005) starring CHRISTOPHER ECCLESTON
6 of the top ten are from the '70s and '80s. In fact if you consider that most fan lists like this tend to favour more recent episodes, then you could argue that there are some Original series classics which should displace some of the more modern stuff (i.e. WTF is Bad Wolf doing there?).
Anyway, as far as I'm aware Tom Baker never hit anyone on the production staff, so back to the ongoing saga...3...2...1...

In my own experience, it might be a business trip but what happens out of "office hours" stays out of work.
I have done 2,3,4 and more week stints away from home (in some utterly inhospitable places) and whilst I am the boss - that is not how it works. I have to say I have never been punched, I did get into it once with my now Sales Director... Total wker, love him until the day I die and could punch him in the face daily. His clothes ended up frozen and semi seriously he could have died (he actually fell into an ice hole - long story!)
He is alive and still a knob, but he is very good at what he does.
Never once considered firing the prick though, for a start I would be bored to tears! Oh and broke!
So can I just clarify - he's abused you for 30 minutes, smacked you around a bit, but you were ok with this because he earns you a lot of money?I have done 2,3,4 and more week stints away from home (in some utterly inhospitable places) and whilst I am the boss - that is not how it works. And how do you think the rest of your team view you and your somewhat "beta male" attitude?
As for trying to snipe at me - not going to rise to it so toddle off.
Just seen a video of papparazi hounding Clarkson while he was riding a bike. his only comment was that he wanted everyone to lay off the producer as non of it was his fault. i thought that was a very decent thing to say. Also i think James May has carried himself supremely well while the reporters banged on his door and accosted him in the streets. very dignified responses i thought

Have the nutters started jumping up and down yet about his wearing ordinary clothes whilst riding his ordinary bike, and not dressing up like a hi-vizzed ninja turtle?heebeegeetee said:

Apparently Guy Martin has major problems with celebrity lifestyle, and wouldn't even do SIARPC, so I'll be surprised if he hosts the show.
Which is a shame 'cos he's the only person I can think of who might make it work.
He's too lightweight and 1 dimensional. He could never carry a program like top gear. Breathless schoolboy enthusiasm doesn't go very far.Which is a shame 'cos he's the only person I can think of who might make it work.

now there's a profession which has an in-depth knowledge on being lamped (and going on their behaviour in the various clips seen recently) thoroughly deserve it. ScumLucreLout said:

I just googled bedder 6 profits. It made a mighty profit of £673919 in 2013. it did have a revenue of £149M though. I'm on a mobile, and its copy and paste functionality isn't wonderful.

Last year sub-zero made a post tax profit of....
Wait for it....
£967000
I googeled Top Gear profits and there are a number of different results ranging from £20M up to the £150M you suggest. The truth no doubt lies between the two.
Kudos to you for getting me to fall for your wild goose chase.

I loved his Our Guy In India series. But he's a bike nut, not a professional broadcaster. It wouldn't be fair on him to expect him to come up with the broadcasting skills needed to engage with a global audience.
Apart from which they'd have to run the show with sub-titles for any audience South of Watford and East and West of Greenwich.
