That and the fact youve got your figures badly wrong, but you're not up to admitting it. I understand.
£20 million gross profit on 50% of the rights gets us to £40 million right out if the gate.
What is not shown in those accounts are the international syndication rights to the main show, the format leasing and revenue from the spinoff shows like TG Germany or USA. Not revenue accrues to the accounts for the advertising revenue from Dave, a channel which exists mostly to sell adverts during top gear repeats.

Your numbers are wrong, and you seem not to grasp why or understand where to obtain proper information. If you still don't get it, I cant help you.
Sorry not going to fall for it again. Don't feed the troll and all that.
The BBC have said that overseas sales alone make them £50m.

How much do you thing that it costs to provide the material to the overseas broadcasters? It cannot be more than £1m.

Did the enquiry settle the issue of whether JC was drunk? Or confirm the helicopter was late because they'd all been in the pub?

Fair play to Tymon, for not milking the situation.
Is it not at all feasible that when the bidding war is concluded, the two of them will be working together again on whatever they go on to do?
I never even said what you've quoted me above as saying!
Epic fail. I can't even work out how I've done that.

Top Gear makes a good deal of cash.
This site reckons it could be £42 million.

No good arguing with him. He wants to be right, rather than informed.

Sorry.

In all honesty I didn't read the post you were replying to. I just saw it quoted by someone else and couldn't resist. I didn't mean to cause offence.

Cheers

That is just too funny.

You didn't cause any offence.

Feel free to write whatever nonsense you want to. It isn't going to offend anyone.

Trust me. You have no need to apologise.

Taking robemcdonald's post into account...so no offence from me either as it appears to have started from a misunderstanding on one part at least...
Maybe you too should take a look at the post that I replied to, though it might deflate your me-too glee.
Seeing others jump in the same puddle and end up out of their depth has been amusing, and there may be room at the shallow end for more yet.
I read it. It just reminded me of an old song I liked, that's all. spin
So not really glee, and no deflation required. biggrin

I've heard of bleeding heart liberals getting offended on behalf of others, but I've never come across someone not being offended on behalf of someone else. It really isn't for you to say what is or what isn't necessary.
As for writing nonsense; thanks for the green light. You seem to something of an expert on the subject, so your advice is welcome.

Was just laughing at this;

Who knew Clarkson could do such a good Ed Miliband impression?

Oh, so it's all the BBC's fault for Jeremy Clarkson behaving like a drunken, abusive bellend?! How could I not see it?!!!!! The BBC should of course be held 100% responsible for Jezz lad going into a pub, getting pissed, coming back to the hotel too late, bullying a colleague when he wasn't offered a hot steak and then punching him in the face. Jez is innocent, BBC is guilty.

Seriously though, your response is actually the most idiotic I've seen in this 250+page thread which is a winning achievement! Well done.
Did I say that Clarkson was innocent or are you just being a dick?

The beeb failed miserably in the duty as an employer have have failed for many decades and doing Clarkson was more about hiding their failings than actually trying to put them right.
That's just stupid.
Why is that stupid?

Is it ok for the beeb to ignore employees that finger fk little girls and boys?

Is it ok for them to ignore drunken rantings of their stars to the point it all appears normal to the rest of them? James may even called it something little.

Of course Clarkson was wrong and behaved as nothing more than a thug. The frightening thing for me though is that until he actually got violent plying stars with drink and putting up with drunken hissy fits were all ok.

It's always nice to be appreciated, but I feel that you may not have fully understood my post.

Perhaps, you should read it again.

Why do you think that I say that you cannot cause offence?
