Does that thick gobste really have such an inflated opinion of himself that he thinks that he could replace Clarkson?
Bring it on, I say.
Viewing figures would be so low that the BBC would be forced to cancel the show after about three really boring episodes.
If they got Jeremy Hardy as a co-presenter, then they might spin it out to four episodes.
Sandy Toksvig would be good too.

I try REALLY hard to avoid watching Russell Brand, but I had to check this one, just for the record.
I have to say it changed my thoughts about Russell Brand. I no longer think we should put him in a box and drop it into the South Atlantic....
No, we must first NAIL THE BOX TOP DOWN, then drop it into the South Atlantic...
Never mind he believes in all that he utters (where is that bloody "K & N filter" when you need it)!!!!!!!!!!!I have to say it changed my thoughts about Russell Brand. I no longer think we should put him in a box and drop it into the South Atlantic....

It's difficult for outspoken politically motivated left-wingers to convincingly convey a joy for something that is essentially materialistic. Sayle likes cars, I seem to remember him writing for CAR years ago, but I just don't see how he can stand up and sing the praises of something that costs more than most people have to live on in a year.

Lefties...? Hmmmm....New TG team...?
What about Blair, Prescott and Brown? Brown's a bit of a bruiser by all accounts, as is Prescott and Prescott likes Jags and Blair likes lots of noise and sexing things up, remember Iraq?
They could call it Chums Urging Not To Speed in cars, or something.
Might be on to something here...

So the Beeb has well and truly shot itself in the foot.I suspect the reported reluctance of the victim to engage in the Criminal process and the fact it;s not domestic violence means it's been NFA'd as it was only Common assult / at most AB|H and would create a press circus if it were charged.

So the Beeb has well and truly shot itself in the foot. One is an internal disciplinary system which takes into account previous issues and is decided on the balance of probabilities.
The second a criminal investigation for a minor assault where there is no complaint, which would need to be decided beyond all reasonable doubt.
