FFS...some police officers shouldn't be allowed outdoors.

I'd like to meet that PC. Big Ed and Dick Ed cause me alarm and distress. May I have them removed?

I don't think the BBC have any legal exposure for not renewing a contract.
I think the same, being a non-legal type it always looked likely to me that the contract would simply be allowed to lapse, but I reckon JC's legal team could have made hay over the inept Savile/rehab comments mid-inquiry, and possibly the prejudicial comments from Radio 1's controller before the review had finished.

Trademark filed for "Clarkson, Hammond and May" for "video broadcast over the Internet".

Clarkson family member or someone trying to get lucky?

Seems to be a fan of TG in any case...

I'm really surprised that this thread continues unabated with so much intensity for the rights and wrongs of everything. It's history. It doesn't matter any more. Don't you lot have homes to go to, jobs to do, families to care for, other threads to comment on? Or must you spend your lives pedantically being fantasy super heroes and trying to right the wrongs you see in the world, educating the "unknowledged" or are you just trying to increase your post count? And I won't be surprised if this gets some abusive answers either which will sort of prove my point.

It's a bit unfair to compare Clarkson with Savile.

After all, Clarkson actually hit someone that he had worked with for ten years. He even made his victim's lip bleed a bit.

All Savile did was molest a few hundred underage girls... while they were ill... in hospital.

The distaste that I feel for "lefties" is clearly unreasonable.

I love your logic.

You seem to be saying that if I tell you that you are a moron, then you must be a genius.

You're a moron.

I think you should replace "unreasonable" with "mind-boggingly stupid".

You are seriously actively disliking the BBC for learning their lesson regarding popular presenters and abusive conduct? You want them to continue covering things up for the sake of consistency>

No you're not, and you're insulting humanity's intelligence by expecting other people to think you are. You've just decided to st on them regardless on what they do, which is precisely why they and indeed everybody else should stop listening to people like you.

When did being right wing become so synonymous with being pathetic and immature?

Thanks for that post Don. Not laughed so much reading something on 'net for quite a while.

Does you good to have a giggle now and again.

That is odd.

What the hell does Saville have to do with someones political leanings?
Do you really think that 'lefties' condone Saville's behaviour?

You appear to assume that everyone who disagrees with you on this thread is a 'lefty' scratchchin
You also seem to 'know' that all people with left wing views are gullible hypocrites.

For the record, I am to the left of the political spectrum, but not everyone who disagrees with you is.

I don't assume everyone who disagrees with me is a swivel-eyed right winger - in fact the true tradition of the left is infighting and splitting into factions smile.

Yep he will slowly be introduced back on to the BBC and then in 12-18 months time be given another contract.

It will be a bit like Mandelson and Blunkett, caught out - fired/resign - reinstate - caught out - fired/resign - reinstate etc.....

Wasnt their stance that they couldnt condone violence (presumably as an empployer)? By employing him elsewhere they have basically done nothing but kill top gear?

Is HIGNFY made by an independent company and sold to the BBC, or is it made directly by them?
