The TG Clarkson presentation style is done on broadcast TV I think.

No way could be slag cars or do politically incorrect things on an advertiser supported medium like commercial TV, so if he goes that way it will definitely be more PC.

If he goes to a Netflix-type streaming video direction with subscriber pay, then there is a chance of it continuing. YouTube is planning a pay channel shortly with no advertising.
That makes no sense to me. If you can't be un pc on commercial tv why do commercial tv stations from all over the world buy the rights and screen it?

I think I've heard the saddest thing to come out of this sorry tale... apparently Sue Perkins is favourite to take lead spot on any 'new' Top Gear. To think I made a joke about it being that awful Miranda thing, this is just as bad.

Press claims it is inevitable that they will use a woman too as they have to feminise (sanitise?) the show and can use representation as the justification.

got to tick them boxes. Now they could go for a full hit with ethnicity and sexual orientation too rather than the old fashioned best "person" for the job.
~I can see its going to be Top gear revived from 1980 if they even produce the show.
I am a big fan of fast and loud but its stale so how they managed to keep Top Gear going with Clarkson for so long is quite a feat. Alexi Sayle with Sue Perkins and maybe an old has been someone like Brucie.

PH has BlackVanDyke, who I am sure would make a very good presenter and knows a lot about cars ... unfortunately she's not black though

As far as I am concerned, no loss if he never appears on telly again. Well past his sell by date.

I think the show's dead in the water anyway. Like them or loathe them, JC, RH and JM were the reason the show was successful. I saw an old Top Gear the other day when JC, RH and that fat bloke that used to write the car price on the windscreen were presenting and it was crap.

Remember Radio (no) 1's listening?

BBC about to get schooled.

I reckon Rowan Atkinson would be a reasonable option...

Yeah. Radio 1 is great now, like? News reports that state a fact and then have some hyperactive ex-student of The University of Cambridge (sic) explaining it in street talk, like? Still cutting the end off any 'tune' with inane drivel about text in or self-harm.

Every site or factory I visit has local radio or Radio 2 on these days. What is Radio 1's 'remit' now - up to 20 year old socialists living in Greater London?

Anyway. Not Sue Perkin. If it's gonna be a biatch, she better be easy on the eye...
