We started paying for Netflix just for Better Call Saul. We now watch Netflix as much as we watch Sky, to the point where I wonder why I'm spending £50 a month with Sky, when I could probably make do with freeview/freesat.
out of interest, what's 'on' netflix? (apart from films etc)

and what's the costs?
There are a number of TV series + of course films, but the main thing its its highlighted how little we watch sky. We have a flick around then tend to look for something on Netflix.

Sky has just become our normal tuner and recorder, and I'm beginning to wonder why we pay so much for it when there is so little we actually watch thats exclusive to sky.

We pay about £6 per month for Netflix

About £6/7, s'okay for tv series but not great, MovieTube is better, and free, the films aren't refreshed very often and we've seen all the ones we could that we liked and cancelled, trying NowTV next
£6 a month for Netflix - Far better selection of TV shows than films, which seem a bit poor TBH.

Possibly a ploy by Clarkson to publicly show contrition in the hope of being reinstated ?

Don't quite follow your argument there. Clarkson cocking up and getting the boot does not eliminate the existence of lefty BBC cretins' hatred for all things car related and un-PC.

They've been seething for years over Top Gear.

yes

Presumaby Countdown sees one shopper buying a special offer turnip and reaches the inescapable conclusion that all shoppers buy cheap turnips.

Either that or it's something to do with picking cherries.

Pointlessly disputing self-evident and confessed BBC left-wing bias is pointless.

He genuinely doesn't seem to know what's doing next with regards to TV.

Perhaps someone could point him at this thread, plenty of experts here who could give him chapter and verse it seems! biggrin

I'm beginning to think this whole thing will end up with them back at the beeb doing a face-lifted Top Gear again in about 18 months time. Let's face it, several people who have been sacked by the BBC have ended up back there eventually. (Brand, Ross.)

In Clarkson's case I think it will be after CMDs supposed forthcoming purge and certain people are out on their ear. (with a large golden goodbye from the taxpayer.)

A golden cattle prod, turned up to 11, would be more appropriate, followed by exile to North Korea for re-education and anti aircraft gun testing...
