OK so the phenomenon exists, thanks for the links; is there data on how many white people won cases compared to black people? Small historical factoid: the first sex discrimination case to reach the Court of Appeal (that was in the mid to late 70s) concerned discrimination against men.

Do you think that may be because black people are more likely to be discriminated against?A contributory factor to the size of any majority could be that white people don't bring cases at all readily, as per DV involving men assaulted by their wives or female partners where only ~1% of male hospital attendees go on to report the incident that injured them to police.
The issue is looking for the information and data rather than making assumptions no matter how likely they are to be correct.

Try spamming the forums less & getting out more. It may help.
I have my own opinions why a black person in the UK who is part of a demographic that makes up around 3% of the population might be more liable to be a victim of racial discrimination or abuse than a white person who is part of an 87% demographic.
Now go away, have a little think, and see if you can come up with your own rationale as to why that would be the case.

Yes it’s an interesting article, thanks for posting the link. Here’s another article (link below) from Codi Bott which could usefully be read following that abyssiswatching link, it’s also about a form of asymmetry in claims of racism. A key line is “...I know that your first bigoted instinct is to immediately discredit me...” which somehow reminds me of the baseless smear in zygalski’s post. The data I asked about would be of interest firstly because the UK has a significant majority of white people. It’s of interest also because we could then divide the number of cases won by white people by the number of black people, and then divide the number of cases won by black people by the number of white people. And yes, I’ve got that the right way round. My point is that this derivative data would give a perspective beyond the headline numbers, and I say this whatever the unknown result may be.
Psychology research based on ‘implicit association testing’ has shown that human brains have an automatic tendency to associate our own race with good and other races with bad, whoever we are. That could be anyone, including zygalski. Until they/we take the test they/we won’t have that kind of independent information on the matter. I don’t think it applies to me, given that Mrs TB’s skin colour isn’t white, but then I haven’t taken the test either.
Here are five examples of successful claims by Irish employees based on national origin. If some seem indicative of people being over sensitive to what some regard as banter, maybe try substituting the word "black" or "Jewish" for "Irish".

If you read something like the Guardian you would no doubt be exposed to more of this but I think we all tends to read stuff that confirms our own bias don't we? So I don't read that, although their business section is very good.
I am just not seeing this "constant diatribe" or PC gone mad etc. I read the daily mail now and again for a laugh and could see how that could twist someone's views if they didn't get out much. But I do question how exposed we really are. I think PH occasionally gets its knickers in a twist about stuff that doesn't even touch most people's life.
