He has point though. Having lived both in mainland Europe and the USA my opinion is that the UK shares far more values with our European neighbours than with the Americans.
I wonder if you'd have thought that in 1944?Do you think it was just the RAF that bombed Germany that year and eventually led to the war being won?
Wonder what would have happened if we'd only had the night shift?
F. good job the Eighth Air Force had a few planes at a handful of bases here with their crews, and could do the job on the day shift, eh?

Not really. It's not a particularly valid point.
Our influence in the EU is one of ~30 and we are marginalised as a matter of routime.
Our influence outside the EU will not be 1/30 approx it will be 1/1 exactly.
This country still has a pair even though some of its inhabitants may have shrivelled a bit on too many high octane photoshoots.
Wrong forum / thread for this, but I'm going to bite anyway Our influence in the EU is one of ~30 and we are marginalised as a matter of routime.

We are not marginalised as a matter of routine. We marginalise ourselves as a matter of routine The UK has the opportunity to elect MEPs - then we vote for cretins who want nothing to do with the EU and don't bother to attend parliament, or on the rare occasions that they turn up and take their seats, spend what little time they have dishing out personal insults instead of contributing to the running of the parliament that they've been elected to. Marginalised? Quite possibly - but by our own actions, not by those of other member states.

It's 2016 chap, the Jerries are our buddies now. Even the Frogs aren't that bad. I think we've even stopped exchanging cannon balls with the Dutch you know. And I absolutely agree we have far more shared values with European nations than that bizarre insular brain-washed bit of land across the Atlantic.

The Speed 12 parked opposite the Cenotaph - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFSMYJ9OaH4 - and revved its engine. (14 mins in) and no one complained, apart from a cleaner who was standing close to the car when it started its engine. What's the chances of getting on the front page of The Sun?

He also currently works for a company that allegedly is one of the ones that benefits from the current tax law that allow legally shifting lots of cash to EU tax havens so not paying too much national taxes on them. If we leave the EU presumably HMRC will be able to get their hands on more of this loot.
To go off on a slight tangent, according to Private Eye that's also why the CEO's of some companies sent the remain letter to the Times, a large number of them benefit from these arrangements as well.

Two nations divided by a common language.

Could be wrong as Turkey is protecting the EU's Southern borders, so no more worries there then!!!
