He has a very big majority from the last election 17,423 with 57% of the vote

That could all change in May of course

If it doesn't, then the electorate in Welwyn Hatfield have the MP they deserve

Guido hasn't touched it. I expected him to be on it straight away.

Maybe I am missing something?

So he has an outside business interest which he declared to the appropriate authorities, and which is very common amongst MPs.

He told a newspaper he hasn't done external work since he became an MP, and they proved he had done some, but that is not illegal as it was in his declaration to the authorities.

Why do I care, exactly?

So his software was designed to take other people's original, popular thoughts and pass them off as your own?

His party's been doing that for years.

He has now said that he didn't lie, he just "over firmly denied it".

Twitter is having a field day with it hehe

Shapps has long appeared to be a bit dodgy. More than a whiff of Archer about him, you could say.

As soon as someone has another name, a change of name or anything like that it raises questions top my unsophisticated mind. Then again I don't use my full name on here ......hmmm..............

I know what you mean. On the odd occasions I've ever caught a snippet of Crimewatch or the like, it does seem aliases (as opposed to
nicknames, or online monikers) are the realm of the devious.

Good job there hasn't been a coincidental release of another 'breaking story' to knock this out of the headlines. Oh hang on...I'm sure more on the child abuse allegations appearing yesterday wasn't related at all.

You really believe that Politicians don't leak and break stories to cover up other incidents. That's a very naïve view. 'A good day to bury bad news' is a quote that is very true and very apt as far as they are concerned.

I don't have that naive view. I just think in this instance its a simple case of a story taking precedent.
Maybe you don't think the same that's fine but I am not naïve and your not necessarily any more correct than I
Now I have to dash got a meeting with George in a few minutes.
