No. They are red in colour by standard.

Normal colour. Personally, I can't see anything obvious on the image mentioned.

I had the most horrible dream about a plane crash just hours before this happened (ok I am had a dream that a jumbo jet came down by my house & not the alps) & I actually posted about this dream on the "dream thread" floating around on here before the accident was announced. The strange this is, I actually fly with GermanWings in May! Was this a sign?

I knew someone would say that. Not too difficult to program the system to know the difference between a runway and a mountain...
One that would work 99.9999% of the time, yes.

I'd still rather the qualified human have the very final say. I'm very fond of the concept of driverless cars, and god knows they're "piloted" by barely sentient apes who in a sane universe wouldn't be trusted to operate a toaster safely, but it'll still be a very very very long time, if ever, before we're comfortable with completely trusting a machine. And the only way to stop an event like this is complete trust, with no override option at all. Anything less is just another button to push.

No idea if you posted that before or after the crash.

Either way its irrelevant unless you're suggesting somehow your dream was linked to this crash?

Where are you flying on Germanwings to and from?

I posted that first thing in the morning, before any news had come out. I know it was nothing more than a dream but as previous posters would suggest, PH = company directors with goetees! (that is not aimed at you)

I haven't had conformation yet but we usually would fly from Heathrow to Dusseldorf.

I don't mind him having his own opinion. I know what I dreamt & I know I posted about it before any news came out.
It was tongue in cheek when I said "was this a sign"

Shame the school children couldn't get the irony of this.

I think it must be impossibly difficult for the families and friends of all those who died. Particularly knowing, as we now do, that there was panic and fear in the last 8 minutes or so.

It's just dreadful and it makes me so sad - I have teenage kids of my own... I wouldn't single them out particularly, but I feel very hollow about these young folk dying. So many families with their hearts broken.

Just awful.

I wanted to add this amongst the technical and psychological speculation.

Simple coincidence. How many people dream about plane crashes each night. How many times have you had a bad dream - and the events haven't unfolded? The one time your dream and real world events happen to coincide - you naturally see a link. Humans are great pattern recognition machines - so good in fact that we often see patterns where none exist.
