Barry McElwood (31) of Bondi, interviewed in a jaccuzi with his mate ‘Jonesy’ disagrees. “This is a f*#ckin’ joke” he said when presented with a pictorial representation of the study’s outcomes. “These pointy heads in these so-called ‘Universities’ should get a real f#cken job on the mines or somethin’ and stop livin’ off me taxes” before adding that he attended the "University of Life". When asked what sort of car he drove, Mr McElwood declined to comment but unconfimred reports placed him behind the wheel of a Holden SS ute later that evening.
At my 15 year old daughter's school (in Sussex) yesterday her class were shown the Party Political Broadcasts from all the main parties: Conservative, Labour, Lib Dem, SNP and Plaid Cymru but no UKIP and I think she said no Greens either. I might understand the three main party PPBs being shown and possibly the SNP as they will control things if Labour need them to form a government but why, in England, include Plaid and why exclude UKIP and the Greens (not bothered about the Greens really but would like them to have been included for balance and joke value)?

Ring up the school and ask why it wasn't a totally unbiased thing showing all parties
It's tempting but I really don't want to cause any difficulties for my daughter. Her geography teacher has already branded me a fruitcake because of my views on Global Warming - mind you, he supports the Greens so who's really the fruitcake?blindswelledrat said:
What an extraordinarily hypocritical post!!
any chance of a post on some of the relevant stuff that has been posted ? like this http://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/573235/Crai...Esseesse said:
95%+ of the last 3 days of posts in this thread have been utterly irrelevant.
Oddly, two subjects that really haven't featured a whole lot in this thread.

It just shows how much things have changed over the last couple of years.
The link didn't work. For those that gave up, the photoshopped image is worth seeing (made me chuckle anyway).http://order-order.com/2015/04/27/10-days-until-da...

Would you like them to show a Sinn Fein broadcast too? The major parties (there's 4).
The major parties and other national parties.
The major parties, other national parties, other regional parties applicable to the area in question.
All parties including regional ones not related to the region in question.
There shouldn't be a situation where a regional party or minor party is shown where a major party is not, unless the topic is minor parties and all major parties are omitted.
TBH though, schools shouldn't be involved in politics (and vice-versa).

So what if he does? WHat have you won by making that point?
Why is everyone so desperate to make such an irrelevant point that they are willing to go at it for 15 pages?
Here, just pick on me instead:
I believe that if you took the average intelligence of people with tattoos and compared it with the average intelligence of people without, the latter would have a higher average or at the very least a better education.
There.

Right, I'm orf to get L O V E and H A T E embellished on my dragged knuckles.
More in keeping with UKIP voters according to some apparently....
Youz cudnee mek eet oop lad ...
More seriously, have seen UKIP showing as low as 9% and as high as 21% in some polls.
I did NOT make that up.
So, average of about 15% I would suggest... Even that could be suspect. I now wonder just what effect the unknown quantity of ShyKippers and ShyTorys will have if they actually vote for Nigel's or Dave's Organisations come May 7th or, change their minds. That could work both ways of course. Far too many unknowns for anyone to call it in my books. Even the pc-riddled media experts have not really got a clue despite their best and worst endeavours.
Just returned from a six mile round shopping trip in Gloucester. Did not see any Boards anywhere except the two for UKIP within a couple of hundred yards from my home. Never known anything like the run-up to the GE in all my threescore and ten plus three.
What's credibility mean Dad?
I think I have developed a new syndrome.Everytime I see Ed Balls I have a panic attack that means I have to get to the remote before I hear his voice. So far its been ok but what will happen when my back is turned and they interview him before I get to the remote.
This election is starting to take a heavy toll.

Re shykippers, i think you've missed out shylibdems.
No party stands out so hedge your bits with libdem, going both the right wing/left wing slightly more in the center.
A Lib Dem incumbent is notoriously difficult to un seat, to be sure. But they haven't had a sniff of power before, and the chance to piss a load of folk off, so we'll see. No party stands out so hedge your bits with libdem, going both the right wing/left wing slightly more in the center.
