The reasons for the decline in the other measures has been discussed but you seem to wish to ignore those.
I think discussed is a bit of an exaggeration if you mean this part

FiF said:
The reason for UK manufacturing fall in the table of % of gdp is due to increase in manufacturing in these developing nations and diversification and expansion of other sectors in the UK.
Accepted if other sectors expand then manufacturing will be a smaller proportion. Meanwhile the UK imports more than it exports across all sectors. If the cake is getting smaller that shows the fallacy of your claim.

e.g.

divided by sector

The important line here is the trade in goods.

Yet the figures for manufacturing output in $ billions has risen from 178 in 1970 to 245 in 2013, though there was a decline under Labour.

Not as big a rise as has been seen in other parts of the world but then UK and the EU has fared badly.

Balance of Trade in goods doesn't necessarily equate to a measure of manufacturing.

Of course taking note of your username perhaps it does. End of discussion from my side. No more patience.

Laugh what slurs? I don't particularly care whether UKIP was banned from a gay pride march or not, you seemed enraged can you at least explain what reasons the organisers gave for banning UKIP?
This slur that you invented: 'So the march organisers were only returning the contempt shown them.'

I am not 'enraged' not even by sloppy work, but it doesn't go unnoticed.

and why would I research the background to your posting?
So from the link you posted UKIP was 'the only political party to oppose gay marriage in their election manifesto' and Farage was in your words 'perhaps too busy' unlike the leaders of all the other political parties to answer questions from pink news. Why do you think they were banned from the march? You seem to think that is unfair can you explain why UKIP should be represented on the march?
Unless you are some sort of facist, then you should believe that people should be free to do whatever they like unless their actions have a negative impact.

So, rather than ask UKIP members to justify their right to take part in an LBGT demonstration, perhaps you should explain why they should be prevented from taking part.

Are you homophobic?

Well OK I'm prepared to accept that if you can provide another measure to show that somehow things are going well.

From experience on other threads of your adversary here, he isn't always true to his word and ends the discussion.

Its a ploy he uses when somebody makes good points that he can't easily counter.

IMHO on much the same lines as when one is called an idiot by Scuffers (oh the irony wink ) or when Steve 350TC "answers" a post with the word "fail."

All part of life's rich tapestry around here smile

No, you seem put out that UKIP supporters can't openly display their political allegiance on a Gay Pride march, I don't care. You won't explain why the organisers banned them, though they took part anyway (according to you) so it wasn't a strictly enforced ban. I can understand why gay rights activists would not want UKIP on their march, you don't seem able to grasp their reasons. How does that make me homophobic? Surely UKIPhobic would be more accurate a jibe?

Do you think that Connie St Louis should be praised, or punished, for her expose of Sir Tim Hunt's recent comments?
Strange question. I don't think she should be praised or punished. She sounds like an awful pain in the arse to be frank. I don't approve of what she did and haven't got much time for those who are offended by everything, but I don't think she should be punished. I think she should be ignored.

Why do you ask?
Was there a point to asking this, since I had the decency to answer, don4l?

Also, I notice Scuffers completely ignored me pointing out very clearly the question he had missed from the other poster earlier after insulting me and claiming there was no question.

Sigh. You guys.

Revisiting this thread and addressing the actual title as if it was a question.................................

I think UKIPs future is bleak. I think that their bubble has burst and their time has passed.
I think they will self destruct and that the personality cult that IMHO exists around Mr Farage will become tired and old hat.
I say that with no sense of joy or delight.

I just hope that politicians realise that there are people in the UK who are getting really hacked off with the way that multi cultarism has been sold to them and that politicians address the issues that people are concerned about.

Where is the UK equivalent of Apple or Microsoft? I contend the manufacturing sector is being held up by overseas owned manufacturers using the UK as a European base, whether that would remain if the UK leaves is moot.
Your contention is a spot on assessment of the situation. We are a Nation hell bent on kidding ourselves. Incessantly allowing those we entrust the Nation's well being to spin away the more salient negative aspects of the way we as a Nation excel far too much at getting far too many things quite simply ...Wrong!

2 pages back you said "with respect, wtf are you on about..." and when I helpfully quoted and bolded the relevant part of the post we were discussing you didn't respond. Honestly, it's fine. It's just irritating when people here complain about 'slurs' and 'attacks' and the lack of intelligent debate yet can't seem to master the basics themselves.

Why is that ?
Probably because despite repeatedly telling various folk that you have no desire to engage with them, you invariably, repeatedly, do.

Hence, you're profoundly fickle, but somehow that's the fault of everyone else? hehe

Why the sudden concern about homophobia from certain kippers? A few pages back, there wasn't a comment about the phrases 'his royal queerness' and 'raving poofter' being chucked about, as terms to denigrate a politician. At least one kipper had the decency to say it was unacceptable.

Terribly sorry, but it's quite an apposite description for some posters on this thread.

Oh apposite means apt for those without a current dictionary and has no bearing on age, sexuality or anything else.

Yes, and some posters on this thread are indeed sleepwalking having a "Kip" with regard to the increasingly costly negativity of UK membership of the parasitical so called European Union.

Praise be to NF for alerting many of those sleepwalkers.

Yes it seems to have become a cult. Though should have had an n in it.
