Hosting his own 3 hour radio show.

Will his approval ratings get even higher?

If that research was correct then why is UKIP membership falling and Labours going up through the roof?

Biggest problem for UKIP is that many branches were set up by average joe's from scratch with a hand full of blokes. Branches became little clubs and newcomers not really that welcome as the originals all had their little job titles and positions. Anybody coming in and trying to get the ball rolling didn't go down too well. You only have to look at how many diabolic UKIP leaflets are out there to know that its a case of Bob does the leaflets no matter what, as he's always done them.

exactly..

Zod, WTF are you on about? (in English please!)
There are none so blind.....

Farage has tried five times so far to be elected to Parliament. He is only an MEP because he cannot get a Westminster seat.

The EU counts a lot as far as he is concerned. Otherwise he wouldn't be trying so hard to get us to leave it.

in this day and age, does anybody actually read leaflets?

I would think what's on TV followed by radio is the prime influencers, then sadly, tw4ter and c**tbook.

I could well be wrong, but I suspect campaign leaflets do more harm than good these days as they are a constant and everlasting source for your rivals to take shots at you in the years to come, much like video's of what people have said in years gone by come back to haunt them now.

Yet if he wore the blue or red rosette there are many places that would have voted him in. How many independents get into the HoC?

I think Twitter is the place to loose a campaign, many a hopeful goes off on a rant to regret later. Twitter I feel is pretty useless. Obly people that follow either 100% agree or disagree. All those inbetween that you need to reach aren't covered.

He's not independent. He's leader of a major party.

Not in the HoC - look at the slow rise of the Lib-dems in the HoC (even though the Liberal party has a long history).

News from the Mail - apparently some 'murderous' cowpat loosened the wheel nuts on Nigel's V70, causing a wheel to spin off as he was driving through a contraflow on the autoroute en route back to the UK. No hard shoulder - Nigel had to run for his life lest he be mown down by an HGV.

Happened back in October but only just reported. French BIB confirmed foul play.

What sort of disgusting scum would do such a thing?

Strange; he was injured in a light aircraft crash a while ago. Perhaps some are scared of his popularity. Posing a threat to a big money gravy train like the EU must be pretty scary for some.

Not quite.

Farage says that a police mechanic told him they thought it was foul play - which it might very well be - but that's not official confirmation.

In any case, I've had this following a service two weeks earlier; they simply forgot to torque up the wheel nuts. The car felt wobbly, so I stopped and sorted it. The same could have happened to Farage.

Sure, it's possible that happened. But in reality, it was the garage fking up. Of the five bolts on one wheel, one had disappeared entirely, and the others were on various states of wobbliness. Thing is, it took 1500 miles of driving for them to get to that state, so they were obviously done up nearly tight enough ........ just not quite.

So, to summarise: Douglas Carswell, Nigel's isn't?

Nothing to worry about.

A plane crash - he survives

Bits of his car fall off - he survives.

At this rate, if somebody does manage to top him, he'll rise again on the third day anyway.

I am sure there are many around here who would expect no less.
