Nothing to worry about.

A plane crash - he survives

Bits of his car fall off - he survives.

At this rate, if somebody does manage to top him, he'll rise again on the third day anyway.

I am sure there are many around here who would expect no less.
You forgot, he also survived a resigning!

I was thinking about near-death experiences, and resigning wasn't a near death experience. Not for Nige anyway.

Not so sure about UKIP

Not when I post humorous stuff - humour being a highly subjective matter of course.

Anyway, thank you for taking the time to respond smile

Well if you think your posts are remotely humorous it is little wonder you are a struggling author, especially @ £15.95 each. Croft or Perry you are not - sorry to disappoint but someone needs to tell you.

You see, that's the difference between you and me. I find concepts funny (I imagine them as cartoon caricatures) and, as I mentioned earlier, humour is a subjective matter, so a concept that I find funny (of St Nige rising on the third day, f'rinstance) may not be found funny by others. That's why some people used to roll around laughing when they watched Benny Hill and Bernard Manning work, whilst others complained to the BBC or whoever. I don't have a problem with that- all part of life's rich tapestry, as they say.

You seem to find insults funny, and not just against me as you know - your posts are full of insults aimed at people with whom you don't agree. I'll provide you another list of your posts if you like, as I did on the Douglas Carswell thread, so that other people can judge for themselves.

In my experience, only idiots and kids in the school playground find insults funny.

As regards today's pearl of wisdom quoted above from your good self, you shouldn't unquestioningly believe all you read. I have flown south for the winter and will be coming back from Cape Town in early March. Yeah, fk me, life's a struggle wink

And if you want to criticise the books - fine - buy one first so you then know what you're talking about - PM me and I'll even give you a discount. There's somebody back in the UK to send 'em out smile

Not quite.

Farage says that a police mechanic told him they thought it was foul play - which it might very well be - but that's not official confirmation.

In any case, I've had this following a service two weeks earlier; they simply forgot to torque up the wheel nuts. The car felt wobbly, so I stopped and sorted it. The same could have happened to Farage.
I am sure you must have upset a few people in your time so just maybe..................?
Sure, it's possible that happened. But in reality, it was the garage fking up. Of the five bolts on one wheel, one had disappeared entirely, and the others were on various states of wobbliness. Thing is, it took 1500 miles of driving for them to get to that state, so they were obviously done up nearly tight enough ........ just not quite.
What makes you think Farage had taken his car to a garage? He hadn't! Anyway, which back street garage do you use that let's you drive off with untightened wheel nuts in this day and age? Decent dealerships would never let this happen.

And actually on the V70 (no, I don't drive a Volvo, never have, just being a PH (well, a true one!) I tend to keep abreast of things 'car', and realise that the V70 has wheel 'bolts', not 'nuts'. Plus, some Volvos inc the V70 had a wheel problem recall some time ago, so perhaps Farage is at fault, perhaps he didn't get the recall letter, who knows?

But one things for sure, in reality no garage f.... up!

In my case, it was Mercedes Watford. Hardly backstreet, though bloody incompetent.

I merely suggested that Farage could have had his car serviced. Or had a new tyre fitted. But unless you're actually Farage, or he's your dad, I'm not sure how you're so certain ithe car hadn't been improperly treated at maintenance rather than being something nefarious.

(You're right about bolts rather than nuts, I accept)

Excellent post. The UKIP supporters have all gone away.
They realise that large scale immigration is great and that its nice to embrace other cultures.
It was all a flash in the pan.

Well, to a large degree, you're right. They have gone away.

All of the legendary massive PH 'kippers - Globs, NicD etc - have all evaporated. Even Guam, the 'Kipper who Never Was, has drifted off.

I note the new ersatz-'kipper crew seem to be self-immolating at an accelerated rate - has anyone seen Groucho since his legendary Christmas Day Offer-Out?

What remains is a pale shadow of the PH 'kipperati of yore. Very disappointing.

Sadly, although there was initially a chance he could have had a Benn view on the EU (perhaps he does secretly) he rowed back from that position probably for reasons of party unity. I'd be happy to vote for Corbyn if he wanted to take us out.

Unless you are a hard-line socialist, that is an insane position to take.

I'm not, but I also don't care if the railways and Royal Mail are nationalised.

You should, but there are an awful lot of other Corbyn policies that any non-socialist should care very much about.

I don't disagree, however these issues could be addressed with a later change of government. My concern is that we're currently in the EU implementing things that cannot be simply corrected by electing a government who disagrees (from the two parties who might actually be able to form a government anyway).

Also, although in many ways I don't doubt Corbyn would be worse, IMO there are a great many things that the current Conservative party are travelling in completely the wrong direction on (or doing nothing to rectify), particularly socially.
