But pray tell Alf, and now referring to your latest pronouncement, what is my "cause" and how am I going to "raise support" for it on PH? You see, logic would suggest that in order to raise support for a cause you must first know what that cause is. I don't know what it is, so perhaps you could tell me, seeing as you appear to know?

As regards finding better things to do whilst down here than post on PH, I do find better things to do. But I also post on PH because when you are up for 17 hours a day you need a bit of lighter relief so I check my emails from time to time, and also check PH to see if there's anything to reply to. Don't forget that its GMT +2 down here, so it is 2030hrs at the moment and dark out. I can't see many better things to do in the dark - it's me age, y'see... wink
"how am I going to "raise support".........I can't see many better things to do in the dark - it's me age, y'see... wink"

Eating carrots was just a trick on you by your parents....... have you tried Viagra?

Cape Town.............as an uneducated Kipper I didn't know that........ or did I?

I'll take that as a "don't kow" then. So that makes two of us who don't know. Perhaps you were seeing things that aren't there...

I don't know or indeed care if you knew it before. But you know it now. Because I just told you wink

Any chance of getting back to "UKIP - The Future" now?

I'll have to disagree on why he was in Europe, the war was all but lost and the much desired German support was never going to materialize. The British Army had essentially annexed the SAR and Free State by that point - apart from a few recalcitrant fighters the war was lost.

Quote reference, hopefully it's correct, tis' all I could find that was free issue:

I'll not argue with the nuances of this. He was in Europe at the time the war was lost and he never went back.

However, as I was thinking more about all this today then something possibly significant to "UKIP - The Future" did come up. During the great colonial expansions of the 19th century the British were almost universally detested by other European countries (not least beause they tended to come first if any fisticuffs broke out) but Europe did not have a unified foreign policy.

Germany didn't have a foreign policy at all to speak of - Bismarck had a foreign policy and also a colonial policy, but not Germany, smile

Bismarck's foreign policy was to isolate Britain from the rest of Europe, and the main reason he didn't succeed was that all the royal families were related at that time, and few of them wanted to see a falling out with a relation's country.

Do you think that a Brexit will finally see Bismarck's foreigh policy implemented at long last?

On the contrary Don, I suspect you were pleasuring yourself as you wrote it. wink
Close... but no banana. "pleasuring yourself" suggests manual intervention.

None was required.

My post was completely spontaneous.

I'm sure that you know what I mean, as most of your posts appear to have the same effect on you.

Although Don didn't say as much in his original post, he implied that the non-streaker ought to have sung it because of its historical significance for the UK.
Stop making stuff up.

The reason that he ought to have sung it is that he said that he would.

Here is Dan's tweet that lays out the terms of the bet:-

@DPJHodges

If UKIP break 6% at the next election I'll streak naked down Whitehall in a Nigel Farage mask whilst singing Land of Hope and Glory...
7:56 PM - 15 Dec 2012
He specifically stated that he would streak naked.

He didn't.

He said that he would wear a Nigel Farage mask.

That was also a lie.

He said that he would sing Land of Hope and Glory.

That was another lie.

I could understand why he wore the boxer shorts. I can sort of understand why he might not have wanted to wear a Farage mask.

I simply cannot understand why he also had to welch on the singing bit.

Well' it's clear that Hodges is a snivelling weaselly coward. He clearly didn't streak. He is wearing boxer shorts.

Yet another prime example of a lying leftie.
He's parodying himself.

He's become self aware.

God help us all.
He's a decent bloke who has left the Labour Party.

Some good news for UKIP fans?

UKIP MEP says vote against Brexit will mean Prime Minister Farage

article said:
David Coburn claimed that if Britain's voters choose to remain in June, Brussels would "drag all the mad grannies out of the attic" shortly afterwards, forcing the UK to join the single currency and agree to a pan-European income tax.

The MEP believes the ensuing backlash prompted by the EU's "dreadful schemes" would lead to a Ukip general election victory.

He added: "There's a whole bunch of mad stuff they're hiding away... if we lose the EU referendum I can tell you right now I'm putting good money on the next Prime Minister being Nigel Farage."

The comment attracted laughter from the audience during a EU debate with NUS Scotland president Vonnie Sandlan at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy conference in Glasgow yesterday.

But Mr Coburn hit back, saying: "You all laughed at the SNP and look how many seats they got. So laugh ye not."

Think he's getting a bit carried away, but in the event of a remain vote I think it's most likely that we will see the Conservatives loosing a significant amount of support and UKIP gaining support.

I'm not so sure that'll happen tbh. I don't think Brexit is nearly as emotive an issue as say, the Scottish Indy Referendum back in 2014 which was the SNP sweep up at the following general election.
