My point still stands, deaply unpleasant people and that goes for many of their supporters on PH.

Their mode of operation also bears comparison with the Nazis as does all parties on the far right of politics. Create fear and hatred of others, be they immigrants, jews, Muslims etc.
Comparison with Nazis...........Could you please give me examples from PH posters that you refer to....many thanks in advance.
No, I can't be arsed. It's my opinion of some of the people who post on here. I don't feel the need to search back through past posts to justify my opinion to you.
Yet you felt the need to let us all know what your opinion is...........Ah bless your little cotton socks. wavey

I can cite some examples of UKIP (the actual party, not posters on here) comparisons to Nazi's:

Unlike everyone else who don't post their opinions?

I'd wager that the vast majority of people on PH are actually just posting their opinions.

This is one of the problems with pistonheads and in particular this thread. Posters want to close down debate by belittling anyone with a contrary opinion; either misquoting or redacting their posts or general schoolyard style antics like above. Really it's a form of bullying and if you are so sure about your arguments it should be unnecessary.
No doubt this will get flamed by the usual offenders, but that will kind of prove my point.

Do you feel bullied?

Would you like the forum to be a "safespace"?

I don't regard my post as schoolyard antics, I was simply expressing my opinion. I read a lot of threads on PH and many of the posters that I come across with distasteful views seem to pop up as supporters of UKIP. I wasn't saying that of alfie2244 I hasten to add. I also wasn't making a comparison between posters on PH and the Nazi party. That comments was about comparisions between UKIP and other far right parites in Europe.

No I don't feel bullied. Thank you for asking. Thank you as well for helping make my point my point with your knee-jerk attack without even realising my initial comment wasn't even aimed at you.
There must be a lot of PH members that have something to say on these issues, but are put off by the toxic nature of a lot of replies.
I don't need the forum to be a safe space. There are lots of sub-sections with a much more convivial tone than NP&E I spend more of my time there. I do feel it is a bit of a shame that we are potentially missing out on some interesting insight by closing down debate in this way.

Slightly misleading as UKIP are part of the alliance that needs to pay this money back. We don't know how much or how many of the disputed claims come from UKIP.

I think that being compared to Nazis winds some people up

Nope. Similar minded to UKIP, who are not socialist, more a small government, right of centre, anti uncontrolled immigration, libertarian bunch. National Socialists are for big government, leftish, authoritarian types.

Agreed it's a cheap shot. If a new outlet reports certain parallels the it's worth mentioning, but to openly accuse someone of being a Nazi is over the line.

Is it possible for the Telegraph to become more anti-EU? hehe
