Apparently Private Eye reveals that Arron Banks has told Frederick Barclay that he'd like to buy the Telegraph titles.
Is it possible for the Telegraph to become more anti-EU? hehe
Raheem on Twitter asking if he'll make him editor. hehe

I have to say, having heard Paul Nuttall on Today yesterday, the future can't be looking too bright for UKIP when the leader of the party that is all about a strong UK in the world apparently can't tell the difference between Anglophile and Anglophobe.

£196,000 costs + £162,000 damages - ouch.

I wonder if this guy decides to sue now.

In November 2014 whilst campaigning for UKIP in the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner by-election, 2014 Collins appeared to imply that Mark Russell, head of the evangelist charity Church Army was a paedophile. Russell had posted support for the Labour party candidate in the by-election which prompted Collins to tweet "Yes because we’d soon stop your criminal activity. Paedos leave our kids alone. #UKIP." Collins who originally refused to apologise, eventually deleted the tweet and offered to make a donation to the charity after Russell threatened to sue her. Her tweet follows accusations that UKIP exploited the suffering of Rotherham sex abuse victims for political gain in the by-election. One victim denounced the party’s tactics as "disrespectful" after it launched a "1,400 reasons to vote" campaign, in reference to the estimated number of victims in the city between 1997 and 2013." Collins allegation was retweeted many times by UKIP supporters. In her defence Collins said she apologized unreservedly and admitted “I’m a bit hot headed sometimes.”[10][11]

I wonder if Aaron Banks will bail her out.

That sort of money would buy Laure Ferrari a few nights in a Premier Inn. smile

It really is terrible how UKIPs bile filled lies are costing them shedloads of cash. Very sad.

You can get in at £29 per night if you book weeks in advance. If you just turn up on spec they'll rip you off for £50 or more plus extra for what they laughingly call breakfast.

Going off on a tangent, but I think you've mixed up your Premier Inn with a Travelodge!

It was particularly the breakfast bit - as Premier Inn breakfasts are absolutely fine. Not as good as they used to be, as many hotels no longer do cook to order - but a lot better than most chain hotels. In fact, if I'm feeling in need of a good breakfast, I'll book a Premier Inn rather than some of the more upmarket hotels I usually use.

Is it my imagination or is that advertising aimed at UKIP voters?

Don't you mean Dr Nuttall? smile

He also claimed, incorrectly, to have played professional football for Tranmere Rovers lol.

He's coming across as a right Walter Mitty.

Turns out a lot of people think Nuttall also lied about being at Hillsborough.

What a guy.
