So following on from the disgraceful behaviour in the Scottish Independence campaign
This is what the baying media smear campaign has provoked.
Is this what our country has now become?

Seriously some folk need to grow the hell up!
It means UKIP are doing something right. These morons can't compete and can only resort to smashing up inanimate objects and threatening people. This is what the baying media smear campaign has provoked.

UniLAD have run a GE poll. Now I'm not sure they share much in common with the stereotypical UKIP voter which makes the results interesting.
The page said they were "worried" about the results and most of the comments on the Facebook page are anti UKIP (and Tory).
So, have 7000 disgruntled, older, disadvantaged voters hijacked the poll, or is there a chance that younger voters views in public, especially amongst their piers, are massively different to the truth?
It's always the empty vessels that make the most noise; in my days as a student it was the ones selling Socialist wker. The page said they were "worried" about the results and most of the comments on the Facebook page are anti UKIP (and Tory).

Not much changes. They're all bark and no bite. (The sanctimonious tts who ran our Union bar and confiscated my NUS card for a week for growling at the chippy glass collector who'd less than politely told me to drink up, well before closing time.)
Don't forget last month's "jazz hands" stupidity: http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/32032291/stu...

Stephen Glover in the Mail about the UKIP manifesto.
Where are the usual suspects who were banging on about policies six months ago?
Plenty there for them to get their teeth into and yet the thread is noticeably absent their detailed analysis, of the document they were screaming for?

he may be correct in terms of strength in depth, but rome was not built in a day. significantly increasing support at this election will just be another step on the long road to credibility and the ability to become electable . how far they get remains to be seen, but the effect they have had on uk politics in the last couple of years shows they have got something right.Where are the usual suspects who were banging on about policies six months ago?

So what happens to UKIP if Farage loses in Thanet and he steps down as promised?
Is there anyone even remotely suitable to carry forward the party?
The talking Heads are suggesting that he is coaching Suzanne Evans to take it on.Is there anyone even remotely suitable to carry forward the party?
I think that would be extremely Smart!

After 50k votes UKIP are on 23%. Do the anti-kippers have an explanation for this?! The page said they were "worried" about the results and most of the comments on the Facebook page are anti UKIP (and Tory).

The true figure must be a lot higher, if we remember that UKIP voters are not very computer savvy.
I think the answer is two fold. Firstly UKIP supporters often have the enthusiasm and zeal of the reformed man. After years of having to avoid taboo subjects and having to settle for the other party being worse to get elected, they are like reformed smokers or drinkers who want to share the fresh air and clear head! I think I fall into that category and I know how annoying it can be, but that enthusiasm is in direct contrast to the voter apathy elsewhere. Secondly, the nonsense about being non computer literate is directly at odds with the way that whenever an online survey pops up UKIP FB or UKIP, supporters on Twitter retweet the link. I follow quite a few and it seems quite an effective strategy supplemented by the fact that UKIP support and engagement on twitter/FB seems genuine rather than paid likes/advertising common to Con and Labour.
Of course whilst an online survey like this showing UKIP is doing well is useless and clearly not fit for purpose an online survey of just over 1000 people was headline news for two days as evidence of a UKIP slump!

What I don't get is why people say its only old people voting UKIP, if that's the case they must be super silver surfers as UKIP rate the highest in every on-line process, look at their Facebook numbers for example!
Clearly its the OLD school media and people that have issues with moving forwards with the times!

The morning of the 8th of May is going to be fantastic - seeing LibLabCon apparatchiks along with bought and paid for establishment journalists wriggle and squirm will be fantastic.
Nigel's appearance in the debate tonight (BBC1 8PM) is rather important though - he has to do better than last time to pull undecided voters across.

We saw this with the very first televised debates, didn't we?You have to remember, the mainstream media have vested interests with the main political parties, as well as big business. As Peter Oborne pointed out in his resignation.

Look at 'em. The educated brain dead. So is this where the country is heading? With these bright dim things in charge in the years ahead, you can guarantee one thing, the lights 'will' go out, and the 3 day week will look like child's play in comparison!

A couple of knob heads with a banner and you're acting like it's dooms day...... So is this where the country is heading? With these bright dim things in charge in the years ahead, you can guarantee one thing, the lights 'will' go out, and the 3 day week will look like child's play in comparison!
Sat in a waiting room this morning I was told so and so was running behind schedule (what's new?). So I picked up yesterday's Daily Express - now I tend to get chance to read a variety of dailies but rarely look at the Express because of the front page weather horror that is imminent!
However, Nigel was on the front, so got to be worth a look
Now, like the Wail, it's solid Tory.
I was a bit gobsmacked... Piece by Nigel was usual commonsense stuff, but it then pointed at the end of the article to Express Comment see page so and so. I expected the usual denigration of Nige.
But no...
The Leader comment in the Express extolling the virtues of UKIP and the electorate? Was I feeling ok? ...Doctor!!!!
Anyway it was a surprise.
I've just had a look online to see if it's there from yesterday. It is. Have a read. Express and UKIP, what a refreshing change, or are they realising, like many of us, this GE is far from certain regarding the numbers that will be voting Kipper.
