Sky media centre all saying Ed did well. rofl

We're they expecting worse? I thought he was awful.
The way the Grauniad is spinning it is that although Miliband was nearly 10% behind in the snap poll, that's a lot better than his usual polling. Ok then.

It's the same way you tell a disabled kid they're doing well at something when really you're just humouring them.

One doesn't believe anything the Mirror writes any more than one would the Sun.

I forgot about it. Only caught the last bit of Ed's. It wasn't so bad. SOme questions about him personally that seem like a waste of time.

The bloke in the QT audience said he did better than expected, DD followed up with what did you expect, and audience man was, 'well not much.'

They are pronuncing that milliband came out of it well

I guess there must have been lots of free booze around earlier
It's called denial. If you repeat the lie long enough, etc, etc. eventually they'll believe it. and enough of the sheeple who will read it, see it in sound bites filtered through people who form their opinions for them, will also.

I didn't agree with Paxman's efforts to humiliate Milliband on a personal level. No need.
It's a good test. If he can't handle that then how can he handle going to war, other prime ministers, people shouting in his face, tough decisions etc

And pointless. FFS there is enough in his policies to have a go at, I felt Paxo should have gone further with the line of questioning about Miliband's failures of prediction and previous in government. The personal stuff is easy to get out of.

Is it any worse than Miliband's repeated efforts to make political capital out of Cameron being an Etonian toff?

It's still amazing how many PH members can't spell the name of the person they make such an effort to hate.

I guess it would be like the 'lefties' saying 'Fatcher'.

It's also a symptom of the celebrity/personality media age were living in. Plus neither of these guys have anything approaching a conviction. These people are "managers" so devoid of principles and not a lot difference between them policy we're left with the "personal".

Getting spun...
I think it's rather getting spun the other way a bit on here. Sure he wasn't great but I think the personal nature of some of the questions and how he responded might do him fairly well.

That said I wish

They'd both stop having a wander
They'd both stop always asking people's name.
That Ed would learn how answer a question without repeating the same first word 4 times over.
