Facts/Truth's like....cutting welfare support for UK citizens whilst ploughing millions on ringfenced foreign aid?

there is more to life than fking money, like helping people less fortunate than ourselves (to some of us anyway)
As it happens I think the foreign aid should have been cut a bit. But on the other hand I understand the desire to keep it, the commitment and that no party if ever going to give me exactly the policies I want

But then I can't understand your desire to spend it on welfare support:
help people to get medicines, get educated grow food and rebuild their lives after natural or man-made disasters?
Or help people to fund their sky tv subscription who already have enough to eat, have freed education and health care, and who in many cases could get a job if they really wanted

Let us face it, we're doing both aren't we? To a great degree.

Indeed,
so if you don't want
the fastest growth in Europe
Falling Unemployment
Falling Deficit
Debt falling as a % of GDP
Rising standard of living

then vote for change
the alternative view would be ,if you want to see
paedophiles remain in parliament and historical establishment abuse covered up
pyramid scheme operators remain in parliament
senior members of the tax authorities going on to work for those they were supposed to be regulating
ex mi6 employees working for banks that appear to be above the regulation authorities
continued conflicts of interest being ignored when it concerns members of parliament

many more could be added to the list. continuing to support the current regime purely for financial reasons, whether they be those of the nation or individually is exactly the mindset that has led to the current situation. there is more to life than fking money (to some of us anyway)
You're really suggesting that the current lot are the only ones involved in, guilty of or responsible for all that?

Of course they are, all of that just happened in the last five years, before the Tories won in 2010 none of that happened. Or so Labour supporters seem to believe.

just to be clear, i have no trouble with genuine targeted foreign aid ,the current situation is far from that. no country that has it,s own space program or has it,s own foreign aid budget should be in receipt of uk taxpayer funds.

foreign aid is also known as bribes to get trade from the country in question.

Some of it is real, the rest back handers to sweeten trade agreements, most people forget this.

Vote for who represents your opinions, don't vote tactically. What is it that particularly draws you towards the Tories anyway? What is your constituency?
Bristol south. So Labour basically.
The bookies have Lab on for an easy win... http://www.paddypower.com/bet/politics/other-polit...

They put the LibDems, Conservatives, and UKIP neck and neck so I don't think there's anything tactical to vote for anyway.
I can't tell if this majority win only or if I put a cheeky bet on Tories for £10, that if they did another coalition that I would get my £340 back?

Anyone else tell me?

(ignore me... can't read this early in the morning without coffee.

How do you see it then?

This despite the fact neutral experts have confirmed all of the above and think the UK is doing well currently under Tories and in fact a lot better than the experts all predicted.

The trouble with foreign aid is the rules governing and the people dishing it out. We have a target of money spent they have to meet said target so dish it out like water to meet a spending target!

It should be ring fenced and if you don't reach the target money is spent at home.

I seem to remember that Miliband wanted to follow in the steps of Hollande with a copy of the french socialism experiment.

I notice this just popped up on the news feed.

http://www.wsj.com/articles/french-president-holla...

Seems like they are now 3 years ahead of us, we can now see what would happen to the UK if Labour committed the UK to the same experiment.

20 minutes of your time and at least worth listening too before you decide on not voting.

Well I doubt either are going to win a majority so vote for one of the minor parties.

Getting a bit scared now of a Lab SNP alliance.

I take it the LibDems would likely get into bed with the tories again?

My LD MP is actually alright, couldn't vote for the party though.

I was watching the rugby the other weekend with my mate Scottish John from my uni days and he is even a member of the Scottish Conservatives and was planning on voting labour in his constituency to keep the nats out.
This unfortunately, first time ever, but need to keep the nats in their box if possible.

So does that mean we will likely end up with a coalition again?
