Margot Wallström has spoken out about the fked up sthole that is KSA.
She won't last long.

This story popped up on my fb feed today...just as I started watching Bitter Lake.
Ahh, those lovely Wahhabis and their gorgeous oil.

What's so beautiful about it is that she is a staunch pro-immigration lefty loon propagating 'feminist foreign policy'. KSA may be a medieval sthole, and by extension so is the rest of the muslim world, but somehow it is still a fantastic idea to import half a million of said medievalists to Sweden - the radical feminist bastion and moral superpower of the world.

Total syntax error.

Of course she has since apologised profusely and declared that Sweden only has the greatest respect for Islam.

Well written article. Shame we are all such a slave to black gold. It'll be nice when fusion power comes about and we can finally put these tyrants in their place.

All Muslim countries are st holes but yes KSA makes a great example.

I can't wait till we can wean ourselves off oil and watch the entire middle east starve to death.

Fatwa incoming. Need an excuse to depose the Saudi regime, the other similarly leaning countries will then adapt.

They buy lots of weapons from us so nothing will change for the time been and when the oil does run out there cultural jihad currently been waged across the West will have taken too firm a grip.

It's not just the black gold, though. It's western politicians competing to see who can be the most compassionate and caring and inclusive, by inviting half the third-world to move to Europe. And there's no going back.

The really sad thing is that every time a dictatorship is deposed in the Middle East it all goes to rat scensored
It's weird that they hate the West so much but want every thing that we make lol!

Agreed, we are past the tipping point. "UKIP" like sentiment is probably felt in more British homes than not, but the wish to do the prim and proper will mean the two big parties continue to win the seats. Nothing changes, except it is all changing and we are not in control.

We rave on about how the west is better than KSA and all those other backwards, deluded, nasty and fascist countries.

Yet who is whoring themselves out?
Thinking one thing, yet doing the complete opposite. We've sold ourselves, lured in hard by the green and now we see it for all it's worth.

Good luck with that; oil will remain a chemical feedstock long after we develop cheap unobtanium power and stop burning dinosaur juice in engines.

How much of the UK does Saudi own or have an interest in? And the other oil rich Arab nations?

My guess is "a lot".

You may think their a few clowns short of a circus sometimes (or on a daily basis when you live here) but there are extremely well advised and many of the generation taking senior posts now have been educated to a high level in the west. They have fingers in lots of pies all over the world but the investments will still only benefit the ruling elite when the oil & gas runs out.

Human rights and equality - for sexes and sexuality - have long been the elephant in the room on the whole debate.

This from various friends on Facebook this week:

Yep at least their advisors have not let them spunk the oil wealth away like our government has!

Why should Muslims accept western values in the west, when we constantly bang on about Muslim values in Muslim lands.

It strikes me as rank hypocrisy, trying to force our liberal ideology on them. If they want to live this way then so be it, but in Saudi they have as much right to do things their way as we do to have freedom from such ways here.

Bet she still uses Twitter, when that is largely Saudi Backed, wonder if she buys things on Ebay, or has an iPhone...

Why do they have the right to persecute women? It's not a damned right and "culture" is a weak excuse. Bored of hearing it to advocate "modern" states acting barbaric.

It is reasonable for us to exact pressure and it is righteous for us to stand up to it.
