Lord Ashcroft leaves House of Lords
Discussion
Have to say there is a corner of the mind that draws some glee at the sight of a discomfited Croesus making a mess on his own doorstep. 'The Book' speaks volumes (!) about pique, broadcasts his loss of influence and squares away any future ambition the ignoble Lord may have had. Infidelity to the cause is a blunt and rather crude instrument and can only end in one way (out).

Prediction.Damage to Dave will last a few days, a few silly comments and the odd "You know he once shagged a dead pig" jokes, and then it will be yesterday's chip wrappers.
Ashcroft on the other hand will now have the joy of watching over his shoulder for a good few years to come. Somehow i really don't think that this is the end of the spat, and this could well be a move that Ashcroft learns to wish he had not made.

I think you may well be right. Like most spats the spatter usually ends up worse off than the spattee Damage to Dave will last a few days, a few silly comments and the odd "You know he once shagged a dead pig" jokes, and then it will be yesterday's chip wrappers.

He knows Cameron is dead man walking.
The party won't unite behind Boris or May.
Next leader.
Of course that could be, and probably is, complete twaddle. He is currently only at 100/1 for next leader.
Thread resurrection for a different purpose disinters amusing posts from before the election. The party won't unite behind Boris or May.
