Anyone else get evacuated?
Seems to have been an electrical fire smoke coming out of the drain covers.

Holborn one?

A mate of mine works in the building next door and they've been evacuated.

Yup kingsway Holborn.
Started off pretty small just a bit of smoke out of a drain cover.
Next thing you know they have evacuated everyone and shut down the road in both directions.
Holborn station also closed so not sure if linked to the trains

Hope it nothing serious. If they've shut the road that's the traffic knackered for the next 5 hrs!

Yep I was in Covent Garden earlier and there was smoke billowing from the man hole covers as you walked towards Leicester Sq. Police had just arrived and attempting to close the road off but it seemed it was spreading.

I jumped on the tube at Leicester Square and headed straight home going to be carnage getting back if you work around there.

Fire coming out of the ground in London? It's a message from above.

Anyway, there will be a scouser that's got it worse.

Was watching it from the office here in Euston - lot of smoke!

Be interesting to know exactly what's gone pop. The old Post Office / BT deep level tunnel network runs through that part of town, so wonder if it's whatever is in that these days?

The fiery gates of hell is opening, in London, more specifically in Holborn, the part of London that consist primarily of lawyers.
Satan just popping up for some tea with his chums then?

Got let out of Covent Garden so I could walk up to Holborn to go swimming, swiftly turned around to get the next tube out of dodge (LS tube station) before the rush started.

Throw Tony Blair in as an offering to appease the fire hole.

The lawyers are a bit further down Chancery Lane, Holborn is recruitment consultant land and masonville. Couldn't of happend to a nicer bunch.

Satan stopped a bit too soon on the Central line then?
Bless the poor consultants and their cotton socks ;-)

Nope. He's seen Millbands ahead in the polls and so has come to claim his throne.

Actually in all seriousness and without sounding a bit David Icke, wasn't the 7/7 attack described as an electrical fire at first?

As I was going down the escalator it said a good service was running on all London lines. Tube is obviously quite a bit deeper than these fires.
