Both blame those to the south for our ills

Both refuse to acknowledge leaving a union will create issues for business

Both are riding a wave of discontent with Westminster

No one is entirely sure if they are right or left wing

Both have a history of supporting the tory party

Anything else?

I'm under the impression UKIP want less government while the SNP want more.

UKIP want to abolish inheritance tax. I doubt the communists in drag would want to allow people to keep their money in the family. Plus old McHypocrite's family bought their house under the Conservatives Right to Buy scheme, but have themselves abolished Right to Buy in Scotland. Lefties hypocrites? Of course.

Totally different. The SNP want the state to micro-manage your life and fix all your problems (their way). UKIP generally want the state to get the hell out of your life, with the odd concession such as the NHS as I assume it's so toxic to hold a differing view.

The SNP are firmly on the left. For all the noise (perhaps to appease those would be UKIPpers who think they're on the left) UKIP are on the right. Many Labour voters are socially conservative/right.

The SNP curiously seem to want to stay in Europe, albeit out of the UK.

Indeed, well it's just my perception but it would explain it. It seems to me that many northerners feel that they're naturally Labour voters and that the Tory party is totally toxic. However this feeling is based around what the parties used to stand for. To me the 'new left' (celebrating diversity and immigration at any cost, pro-non-traditional marriage, anti-smoking, politically correct etc etc) does not fit with the kind of person who feels that their lives haven't been the same since the pit/steelworks/shipyard closed down.

The Socialist National Pricks are definitely left-wing.

In the "true" economic meaning (big gubbermint / anti free-market) and in the authoritarian axis of the political compass (anti libertarian). Pro-benefitscumbag / anti-business, anti-capitalist.

Snp are dangerous as they want to break up the uk for the sole benefit of scotland . Even though they have already voted against this...

Have the SNP formally supported the Nasty Evil Tory party? Surely the cyber Nats will be frothing at the mouth while 5 knuckle shuffling at hounding down yet another individual who has a different political view.

They were quite happy as the PM was not a male toff who had gone to Eton and been born to rule

It was a female who was the daughter of a green grocer with a degree in chemistry who before entering politics assisting in inventing Mr Whippy ice cream

They were so happy they have never forgotten her

Very good.

They should be reminded of these points incessantly.
