It is a camera developed guidance system. If the US decided to take its football home, our missiles would still find their target, it uses star positioning to find its target, America cannot (so far) change the location of the stars

Again it is designed this was so it cannot be countered with jamming etc, or blinded with anti-satellite weapons.
