I don't know. I've had a few fliers through the door from various independents with odd ideas, but the major parties haven't troubled my recycle bin. Obviously letterbox fliers aren't the only way of gleaning the appropriate information about the candidates, but my ignorance in this is complete. Perhaps I should actually take an interest, perhaps not.

She did get in here.

She goes around for some reason saying 'Call Me Dave'.

I know who the Lib Dem guy is and the ditzy from the Labour Party, but haven't a clue who any of the others are, but saying that, the two who I do know will not be getting an X from me.

Moved from a very Labour area to a very Tory one, by accident.

Don't even know who current MP is, we only moved a couple of months ago.

Croydon Central is a fairly safe Conservative seat, so we'll likely end up with Gavin Barwell again and he's fairly decent.

As Ukippers, we're pleased we don't live in Croydon North.

Andrew Percy (North Lincs), Conservative who won the seat from Labour in 2010, so it's not a safe Tory seat. But he's a great MP, very active, down to earth, and very visible in the constituency, and has done a lot for the area. He's liked by many people, here regardless of who they normally vote for, and deserves to get in again.

I live in the most marginal seat in England (Hampstead and Kilburn). Last time around the utterly dreadful Glenda Jackson won for Labour by 42 votes. She's now stood down and been replaced by someone called Tulip Siddiq. The Conservative candidate is a top guy called Simon Marcus who actually grew up and lives in the area (unlike dear Glenda), ran a boxing academy for underprivileged kids, had a real career before going into politics and his dad was an NHS doctor. He really cares about the area and the country, and if there's any justice he will win. That said Hampstead is the spiritual home of the champagne socialist and there's loads of BBC and NHS fat cats (as opposed to doctors and nurses) who have got rich off Labour largesse along with quite a large area of much less well-off people in other parts of the constituency, so who knows.

What I do know is that it's obviously one of those seats where every vote counts. The Lib Dems who polled strongly last time around will see their vote collapse I suspect and UKIP will be lucky to get their deposit back!

West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine.

Incumbent is LibDem, polls show SNP ahead so my vote will be LibDem.

Actually I think the current chap is OK so while not a LibDem supporter I am happy with him, particularly if he stops SNP getting in.

Penrith and the Border up here, strong Conservative area current incumbent ir Rory Stewart elected in 2010 and by all accounts doing a pretty good job should get back in with ease.
Rest of candidates, local lib dem busybody, will pick a few votes up local UKIP farmer, will get a few votes may save his deposit, local green whinger lose his deposit and Labour unknown from Warrington never seen any sign of him lost deposit as well.

Aberdeen South, no one of particular note I'm afraid.

Although it appears someone is standing for the National Front in Aberdeen North - I didn't even know they were a thing any more.
I was somewhat taken aback to see a NF candidate on the ballot paper, piss poor selection in Aberdeen North:

BAKER, Richard (Labour and Co-Operative)
BLACKMAN, Kirsty (SNP)
DAVIDSON, Euan (Liberal Democrats)
RUTHERFORD, Tyrinne John (Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition)
SEN, Sanjoy (Scottish Conservatives)
WILLETT, Christopher Sean (National Front)

Probably because it's a two horse fight between Labour and the SNP.

Living in The Wrekin ward, I've got Mark Pritchard.

It's a very safe Conservative seat, and he had something like a 12,000 majority in 2010. He's a pretty good egg as well, to be fair, always taking interest in local issues.

We've got the main three parties, plus UKIP, Green, Mebyon Kernow, and an independent. Had a flyer through the door from the independent candidate yesterday, made a big point about working for the constituency and disillusionment with the big parties. Which is fine, but I'm none the wiser what his ideas are.

The UKIP candidate looks about 14 years old. He is in fact 20, and is best known for going to a Halloween party dressed as Jimmy Savile.

It was held by the lib dems from 97 to 2010, then went conservative with a modest majority. It could go either way this time I think. Labour always come third.
