Strange isn't it when women get all angry whilst blokes just get on with it.
It was the recent Poldark business that prompted my response.

I've had to put up with woman lusting over firemen calenders and organizing stripper nights and ogling the posters under my nose in my working life.

It never once occurred to me to be offended or come over all insecure and inferior.
What these two said.

Whenever I go shopping for boxer shorts, the box they are packaged in is usually plastered with a photo of some bloke with absolutely shredded abs... and the last time I bought something in Abercrombie/Hollister, the carrier bag they put my stuff in was the same.

No one cares.

Funny as the two girls protesting are over weight and have legs made of cheese. If there happy with it, (which they say they are) why care what others think. I personally believe their not happy but are too lazy to do anything about it.

As for starting a petition to ban the advert, what a crock of st! Whats the difference between -

- Men being portrayed as fools in nearly every advert - nobody give a fk
- Premium brand cars being advertised, not everyone can afford them so it could upset non director people.
- Chiseled guys advertising aftershave, pants, etc could upset anyone who is fat.
- Adverts for shampoo, showing flowing lions manes, could upset people balding.
- Toothpaste adverts showing perfect pearly whites - upset people with bad teeth.

But just don't offend (fat/curvy/bubbly) lazy women wearing Y-fronts. Its not fair.

The difference is that a picture of Poldark doesn't appear on the tube with "Are you Cornwall-body ready??" with the latest weight loss/muscle building product advertised.

Also what makes you automatically assume that it's "non attractive" women? This morning on Radio 1 Kate Upton talked about how she sometimes feels insecure about her body.
Yes, but it doesn't go "Are YOU Park ready" with that guy though? Itdoesn't suggest that's what you HAVE to have to go the park and get your top off.

It's not the eye candy they're protesting-it's the idea that what's on the advert is what they HAVE to have to go to the beach and wear a bikini.

As above-Kate Upton has said she feels insecure about her body-why always assume it's 'unattractive' women?

You are talking rubbish.

Kate Upton feels so insecure in her body that she takes her clothes off for a living...

Women are complaining because they want something to complain about. Feminism is the self victimisation of white middle class women. If they want equality they should get it... I'm all for equality. But not just the good stuff.

This is just lazy people wanting something to moan about. Look at the state of the one on the left in that pic... She thinks the high wasted bikini hides her fat!!! Jokers.

That's what she said on Radio 1 this morning.

Or she just likes the look of a high waisted bikini?

This thread so far is exactly the thing feminists are against-because your automatic assumption is that the woman's appearance matters before their opinion. Apparently because you wouldn't stick your penis in her their opinion is worth less to you.

Yep. I hear it all the time about photoshopped bodies but in the gym I belong to there are some women there who are in very good shape, all ages, too, not just 20 year old models.

Actually quite a few people do. It's pretty sexist. It's also a much rarer occurrence.

The advert in the OP is not good but the response by the company, particularly on twitter, has been hilariously bad.

For the hard of thinking: The complaint is about sexism. Dismissing it as ugly girls complaining about attractive girls reinforces the argument.

Same at my gym too. But, we live in an age where a woman isn't considered 'real' unless she has a muffin top. Physical evidence of a healthy diet and regular exercise is to be demonized.

Yes she said it on the radio. I'm somewhat uncomfortable with my singing skills (I'm tone deaf) for that reason I don't chose to get up in a room full of people and sing to them... Anyone claiming to be insecure about an aspect of themselves whilst choosing to earn their money by doing the same thing is talking rubbish!

Perhaps she does like the look of that bikini - but by posting photo's of herself to make a point she is opening herself up for criticism.

Feminists are against anything they can think off. They are professional moaners. They are middle class white women who feel the need to be a victim so they have something to feel better about. Here is an idea for you - everyone is going to be judged... Live with it. I was a very poor bodybuilder in a past life. I was judged both on stage and off it. I didn't go around complaining about it!!! I know blokes who still do it who work as strippers... They don't go around complaining about being objectified! Get a grip man.

Now please do tell me - has your Mrs put you up to this? Are you whipped and made to tow her party line?

It could be argued that it is slightly hypocritical of a stripper to complain about being objectified.

Nothing to do with sexism, though the feminists have hijacked it.

It's this very strange idea that it's 'ok' to be fat and it's in the same category as racism to be be 'fattist'.

We constantly shamed for drinking and smoking, not to mentioned taxed to the hilt to more than pay for the NHS bills they bring. Obesity costs the country £47bn a year yet we are supposed to hold that we should respect all body types.

When I see an extra large family going extra large as I walk past McDonalds I look on them in the same way I would a bunch of sad old alcoholics in Weatherspoons. No self control, no self respect and in need of medical / psychological help.

We should put the same tax on fast food and coca cola that we do on a pack of B&H or a bottle of scotch.
