This entire saga has been pathetic.

I must confess I have little sympathy for the whinging fatties. Losing weight is about the only thing I can think of in which doing nothing (read; eating less) gets you success.
Most girls could get a body fairly close to that of the model in question without ever setting foot inside a gym.
Men have it way worse - you can't become a ripped muscly hunk with 0 effort!

During my first term of university I went from 14 to 11.5 stone, principally because I didn't know much about feeding myself. It ain't hard biggrin

Over the course of university, most girls I knew gained weight and most boys lost weight. hehe

I think the following sign needs looking at, or making more appropriate for the modern age. It sets an unrealistic expectation among young girls over what they should look like and wear. It's quite frankly, disgusting.

So true.

Walk through any big Uni campus now and prepare to be horrified at the number of tubby girls.

Also note the number of student age couples where the guy is thin and the girl is tubby and clearly a lot heavier than he is. Incidentally this irritates my girlfriend who decrees it to be 'all wrong' and states that the man should always be the heavier of the couple biggrin

Shame about the attitudes of the later posters on here, I'd assume bleeding edge isnt really going to happen round these parts, but had hoped we'd moved from the 70s at least towards the early noughties in thinking, but sadly showing this isnt the case.

Sounds like Jeremy Kyle's guest when you put it like that.

When I moved into halls (1992) all the girls in my block seemed to be obsessed with Haagen Dazs ice cream, and I got the impression this was the first time they'd been able to eat as much as they liked without Mum stopping them.

Whereas all the boys only cooked with the greatest reluctance.

Its also pandering to the multi-cultural/diversity/right-on PC crowd, by showing a black girl. I mean, we're in England - can we have a white girl, like this:

I'm afraid I agree.

I don't particularly find 'buxom' women attractive, and she is very, very buxom indeed to say the least.

When good looking women strip/pose in barely any clothes it's objectifying women, but when fat old ugly ones (like the ones on Britain's Got Talent just now) do the same it's empowering.

Metabolism is largely controlled by insulin and glucogen. Energy homeostasis is regulated partly by leptin, which goes towards controlling appetite. Metabolism isn't controlled by age, it simply slows as we get older because we lose highly active metabolic tissue (sarcopenia) and gain fat mass.

Does that make them stuff their faces with chocolate and sit on their arses all day?

Greed and laziness is responsible for that.

ASA rules advert NOT offensive. One small win for common sense in a sea of politically correct lunacy.
