Less attractive women whinging about attractive advert lady
Discussion
Daily Mash with a nice response --

The whole story is a storm in a teacup whipped up by Twitter/Tumblr SJW's who see offense everywhere. Beach Body is just a term to describe toned bodies (aka beachBod) - the advert is saying are you toned in time for summer.
Now those who say, "no - and there's not a chance but it's unfair I don't have one. Oppression / Patriarchy / Evil companies".
If they really wanted to say you need to be in such awesome shape to visit the beach they'd advertise with a pair of scales and a no entry sign..
Sadly, the world is getting fat as fk - and those protesting are accelerating the issue.

There's a certain irony in these women whining about being 'body shamed' all the while body shaming those women who choose to keep their bodies in shape like there's something abnormal about it.
Exactly. It's like it's not okay to point at a fatty and criticize them for being fat, but it's fine to point at a slim, toned, healthy person and proclaim that they're not 'real' but are a negative influence. Our Olympic squad should all hang their heads in shame.JensenA said:
What a bunch of dinosaurs you lot are. Most of the comments here simply prove the point the women are trying to make, quite laughable really.
What point is that?"wah wah wah, it makes me upset to see people (who have invested years of commitment and hard work into a healthy diet, exercise regime and liefstyle) that have more physically attractive bodies than me... wah wah wah, cry cry cry.."
...because that IS the point they're making. And it applies to men as much as it does women.

Rally? I can't tell if you're serious or not. Internet huh!
Anyway, why should a healthy woman be made to feel she only has a 'beachbody' if she looks like a male wk-object?
Why should I be made to feel like I only should take my top off if I carry a can of diet coke, work as a window cleaner, and make women flow like rivers due to my rippling 6 pack and pecs?Anyway, why should a healthy woman be made to feel she only has a 'beachbody' if she looks like a male wk-object?
What a load of fking st. It works both ways, men don't give a fk, neither should women.

Is it not the women complaining themselves? If they want to eat cakes and get fat (like me) then so be it. But don't complain about those who put in the time and effort to keep fit?!?popeyewhite said:

I'm not a doctor but I'll hazard a guess a lot of these women are far from 'healthy'. Anyway, why should a healthy woman be made to feel she only has a 'beachbody' if she looks like a male wk-object?
Unless diabetes, morbid obesity, high blood pressure and risk of heart disease now define 'healthy'?

The diet coke can ad has had enough battering on here. Have we got any other examples of male sexism we could use? What a load of fking st. It works both ways, men don't give a fk, neither should women.

Aaaand that's enough. I'm actually referring to the girls protesting by the poster from page two.
Anyway the point is it's not for us men to decide what is/not a female beach body. It's just a body on the beach - and all shapes and sizes should feel comfortable going there. Unfortunately sections of society see the ad under discussion as sexist...which it very clearly is.

Would it be sexist if females thought other females looked better on the beach? I'm actually referring to the girls protesting by the poster from page two.

Beach ready for ones persons eyes might not be the same as mine. I don't think those people shouldn't advertise their ideals though.

I'd been part of a university and regular athletics club for many years and not one of the girls (and there were several gb athletes/triathletes in the clubs) had bodies like the girl in the photo.popeyewhite said:

Totally serious.Anyway, why should a healthy woman be made to feel she only has a 'beachbody' if she looks like a male wk-object?
...why?
Well because that's what a "beach body" is. Low bodyfat, defined and toned muscles and generally healthy and athletic... And that applies to Men too.
Don't see me crying about men with six packs and pecs!
Sexism doesn't come into it.
Some women/men are just deeply insecure about themselves.
They don't need to be.
Revel in your obesity or "mediocrity" if you wish. THAT is even more awesome than looking "great."
But jeez, don't cry about how the appearance of people that that take the time and effort to look a certain way makes you feel. Then you're just pathetic.
And Sexism has no role to play.
