Burnham is "the man to unite the country"!
Please let it be little mascara man; one mention of mid-Staffs and he's sunk.

For this reason he surely can't win it. Would be amazing at PMQs if he brings up the NHS though. Please let it be little mascara man; one mention of mid-Staffs and he's sunk.
Liz Kendall was on Newsnight tonight. She lacks charisma, gravitas and has no apparent leadership qualities; she seems more like a primary school headmistress. I wouldn't follow her round the corner - she's useless and I can't understand why she thinks she is should be a candidate. That goes for all the other names that have been circulating. They need to find someone totally unlike Milibrand which should put Umanna out of the running.
The only Labour person who has any sort of voter appeal is Alan Johnson and he's too old and not up to the job anyway although I like him.
Labour will be in opposition for the next 10 years because Boris will wipe the floor with them when he takes over from Cameron.

That never stopped Ed.Remember who is going to be voting for the leader.
The most fantastic thing the unions did for the UK was help Ed shaft his brother who as a Conservative even I could see as a future Prime Minister.

I'd say primary school headmistress is overdoing the praise for Liz Kendall, from what I've seen on Question Time she will be an abysmal failure in PMQs. I might even join the Labour Party just so I can vote for her.The only Labour person who has any sort of voter appeal is Alan Johnson and he's too old and not up to the job anyway although I like him.

Liz Kendall out of the current crop, I hope.
Hopelessly out of her depth. He pays too much attention to his favourite lime green tie and forgets what blue looks like.

Hope it's not Umunna, I already have my hammer poised to chuck at the TV when Nicolas Durgeon next appears, I can't keep buying a new one.
Actually yes, Umunna with Diane Abbott should do the job. Until someone finds out how Umunna's Nigerian father made his fortune.BlackLabel said:
Unless a Labour MP dies in the next few days and vacates a seat then D Miliband is a non starter. Alan Johnson, another reasonably likeable man, says he won't run because he's too old (well he said that last time round).
Cooper, Burnham and Chuka will be the favourites and whoever the unions fancy the most will win (I don't think it will be Chuka).
I find that depressing - from the party that claims to champion equality for one of their most trusted and experienced members to suggest he is too old to lead.Cooper, Burnham and Chuka will be the favourites and whoever the unions fancy the most will win (I don't think it will be Chuka).
Since when did being PM have to be about youth?
Worrying.
