I'm not particularly bothered about this so called protocol breach but does anyone else think that 20 is too young an age to be an MP? She's only a couple of years out of school and hasn't even finished her degree yet.
Of course it is.

I'd bet good money most of those who voted for her didn't even know she was a woman, let alone her age.

Sadly she will become a bit of a cult( I think I've spelt that right)figure in many circles and will go on to make lots of money and breed like a bloody rabbit.

That can't be genuine? HAS to be a parody...?
What! Not a genuine BBC Scotlandshire article?

I care not for the SNP but an influx of sufficient numbers of people prepared to question existing Westminster practices can't always be a bad thing.

Don't you think that's a bit naive? What evidence is there that they'll question anything?

Once they find the subsidised bar and restaurant and work out how to fill in their expense claims they'll fall in line like they all do.

I don't think it's borne of some higher morality to question the status quo, more boorish ignorance and a lack of decorum.

I suspect they'll be rather like the UKIP MEPs in Brussels - keeping themselves amused by making a point of annoying the tits off everyone else, whilst enjoying the benefits of the institution they've been elected to at the same time as loudly questioning the legitimacy of the whole shooting-match.

I think Mhairi could become a bit of a media phenomenon though.

Hardly going to get noticed in the house is it?

Wasn't the chancellor off his tits last year?

Believe me this girl is a special case. Basically the first Ned MP.
She's offensively common, frankly.

You may be right, but I just think that it's impossible for her to do a worse job than a great many of those who have gone before her.

If it is the rules then what is the problem, I expect her actions will be testament to her ability so will have to wait and see.

I think 35 years of age required for El Presedente in the US? What are her chances, in a bizarre turn of events and some unlikely accidents, to get to PM?

A 20 year old SNP ned as PM of the UK?

Bizarre wouldn't nearly cover it.

I'd bet my mortgage on it never happening.

I know but there is a TV comedy show in there somewhere. But are the UK rules such that it could happen if a certain bizarre set of events happened? Age limit first I suppose.
