That's exactly what the plan is, to not match the rUK's increases in personal allowance.

"Come to Scotland, work hard and be successful, and we will guarantee to tax more of your salary than if you lived in England. Welcome to the SNP..."

They love to bang on about a fairer society - what the hell is fair about paying more tax? By all means help those who cannot work, be it through disability/health issues, but hammer those who cannot be arsed.
But unless they increase / agree with Tory policy the poorest/lowest paid will pay more tax in Scotland than rUK?

I've still yet to see what tax rises the SNP are giving to basically cover the Internet charges on the £15billion deficit from the year before last then this year just past a further £17billion - so let's call it £32billion @2% interest that's £640m a year interest alone Scotland need to raise in tax, that's ignoring paying back the principle. Isn't that more than he entire Cost of universities in Scotland/2-3times more

It's all pretty ridiculous isn't it? I'm really hoping Nippy Sweetie and her cronies get an absolute pasting this week. I carefully shredded their leaflet of lies we received last week, before tipping it all into the freepost envelope and sending it back to them. I did consider adding a smear of ste to the delivery, but didn't want to stoop to their level. smile

I have been in the habit of cutting the SNP a bit of slack, they have appeared to be trying to do some things differently, if half-heartedly. But now they're fully engaged in suckling the Murdoch teat that's over.

This would be boak-inducing at any time, but in the week of the Hillsborough wrongful death verdict being returned looks massively insensitive and given the polling numbers completely unnecessary. The SNP can never again claim the moral high ground or play the plucky underdog card from here on, they're just as 'establishment' as all the other parties.

Gurning for the cameras whilst sharing the front page with a somewhat sad headline - "Forth bridge worker dies"

Classless as well as clueless it seems.....

Now that Westminster has pulled the plug on the obscene energy subsidies that Holyrood like to pay the windfarm companies (not to generate!) and get subsequently bankrolled for it from down south, they will have to put up income tax to cover this huge loss, ..its just that they won't talk about this before the election in case they lose votes.

So why should I vote myself a tax increase, more wind turbines blighting the environment (1000 where I live in S.Ayrshire), and the removal of an age old tradition of a working man having one pint on a Friday before going home.. F*ck them..

Driving into work this morning, there are a fair few advertising boards for the various contenders in fields etc, as the constituency of my work is actually Tory in second place, there are quite a few bog blue placards up.

On almost all of them, they have been spray painted with SNP in black letters. You can tell they are all done by the same person as same colour and 'handwriting' on them all.

I realise its just one or a few idiots, but i despise that this kind of petty st has infected Scotland, we will forever be a divided nation until the SNP either get off their arse and actually govern properly and leave the neverendum alone, or the scottish tories or lib dems pull their fingers out and offer credible voting opportunities for swing voters. as they need to work twice as hard as the SNP for majority share, as its split between the reds, blues and orange's against a lesser block vote for the SNP.

My plan is Lib Dems for Gordon for the local member (as the salmond replacement is a known cybernat troll who has been parachuted into a safe seat now salmonds in westminster) and Tory for the actual party vote, as i believe the tories will be the second party in scotland following tomorrow.

We will see.

People don't worry enough about this behavior. There is a large number of SNP supporters who would quite happily wipe out all other political parties in this country if they could and "monitor" anybody who says anything against them like the stazi.

It's sad that at one time you could talk about politics with someone, disagree completely, and yet still be friends at the end of the night, but now in Scotland it doesn't feel like you can. Everyone is separated by politics, yes or no, nat or yoon, and all it is doing is stirring up hatred.

A while back an snp mp started describing unionists as yoons on his twitter page, anywhere else there would have been uproar at a sitting mp insulting a big chunk of his constituents, but here it doesn't seem to matter any more. I am really starting to fear for the future of this place.

I was saddened to see on Facebook recently an SNP supporter questioning the sanity of a local resident with Tory placards in their property, when reading the comments someone suggested egging the house. Vandalism due to political views. Lovely.

I'm scared to reveal my true political views (don't want indepenence, not that fussed who is in charge of Scotland's spending money) as I know that once every now and a while someone will take huge offence.

I recall not so very long ago that it just wasn't the done thing to advertise your political leanings either verbally or graphically.

I find the behaviour quite appalling actually.

But then that's maybe because I seldom see any posters/propaganda about any other party than the SNP so my revulsion is perhaps not surprising.

A few days before the IndyRef I was called a 'fking Tory' by an ID wearing Yes Scotland campaigner, in public on a crowded street with children present, because I refused to proffer an answer to his question 'would I be voting Yes in the forthcoming referendum'. He judged me on the refusal to answer plus the fact I was wearing a shirt and tie at the time.

Oh, and it was the full-fat cuss, not the call-me-Dave version.

SNP, the party of division and hatred. Bile towards the 'evil toaries' would not be tolerated to any other group, can you imagine if it were directed towards black people, gay people, or Jewish people? But that's OK because SNP. And it flows right from the top.

I've got a feeling that the SNP are going to somehow do even better than we think why?
Their supporters are going to have a much higher higher proportionate turnout v the non SNP voters.

I am hoping the opposite will be true, that snp sheep will just assume they are going to win so they can stop in and watch Jeremy kyle. Whereas people who have the ability to think for themselves and have at least a basic grasp of economics will be desperate to inflict as much damage as possible, and vote for whoever has the best chance of beating them.

Setting different tax rates is bonkers and could lead to a situation like Greece

SobI've just skimmed over the last few pages and it's the age-old same:

- SNP are scum
- Only plebs vote SNP
- The hate the English, etc.
- They're not fit for purpose
- Etc., etc.

Don't judge everyone by the actions of a few.

I'm voting in half an hour - both Conservative.

Why?

I think they're the only party and the only leader to offer strong opposition at Holyrood. And I agree with many of their policies and proposals.

Although I've voted SNP before, I've been very disappointed by them recently.

I don't.

My expectation is for the SNP to win albeit with a lower vote.

Conseevatives will be opposition.

Labour will flop and so will Lib Dems. UKIP won't be of any relevance.

Greens might do well.

I could be wrong. Interesting times.
