Let me try...

Fluff, why is Nichola Sturgeon so head-jerkingly desperate to stay in the EU...?

She prefers looking at 15% of her GDP to the EU and simply thinks regardless the 85% to rUK will simply continue.

Generally it's a sensible idea to keeps the big ships in port

Its the "anyone but England" attitude the jocks have. To stay in the EU the jocks will have to have another ref to separate the union and that is the real reason.

Innit. I wonder what he feels in common with Belarus or Estonia. Other than we always seem to get them in the football.

That he does. Take a look through his posting history for many examples of the pseudo-intellectual bullst he comes away with.

Leaving aside the minutiae of the legal position who in their right mind thinks leaving our debt with the UK is an appropriate way to start afresh?

Never mind the complications of any IndyScot/rUK negotiations and our position within them if we're reneging on debt, what about the moral aspect? What sort of example does it set for normal people, youngsters, businesses? What would other countries make of it and why would anyone lend to us if we walk away from our responsibilities on a technicality?

And how insufferable would s like Salmond, Sturgeon and Fluffnik be if were to happen?

Now... let us just assume for a second... that Indy Scotland has left with no debt.

How long do you give it to survive?

Is any RUK business going to think... yup - I'm going to trade with a businesses in nation that reneges on it's debts.

SCampbell is lining his own pockets on the back of SNat stupidity. The man is a wannabee gangster and a nasty piece of work. I wonder how his 'software supply business' is going these days...?! scratchchin

But "the jocks" just voted to stay in the UK. Presumably if the jocks wanted anyone but England, as you claim, they would have voted to leave in the independence referendum?

There's some real xenophobic rubbish being posted on this thread. Everyone with half a clue knows it would be terrible for the UK if Scotland ever leaves. I really hope it never happens.

Fixed that for you. It is the ultimate irony when SNats point to Brexiters and accuse them of xenophobia.

Bottom line is that Alex Salmond built the case for Scottish Independence on a house of cards that is tumbling around the SNP as the days pass.

Terrible for the UK in what way?

From a pure financial basis there's a strong argument that the UK would be better off without Scotland.

Culturally, not sure what would be lost? What else?

I do not want Scotland to leave as I feel we're fundamentally one nation and better together, and this has been the case for a very long time.

That's because we are the same people.

Culturally we are essentially identical compared with the likes of mainland Europe.

Close but not quite, if you do a cultural comparison with Scotland and assorted European countries using the Trompenaars,Seven dimensions of culture model there are a lot of similarities but also a decent number of differences which can be useful to be aware of especially when working and doing business overseas.

Nichola, no matter how many times you rearrange the words, or come up with lame excuses to be following this course you are following - THE UK VOTED AS ONE ENTITY, NOT REGIONALLY!

I am sure the Scots are equally pissed off hearing nothing but doom and gloom everytime she opens her GOB.
