No official reports yet but some people in the know are tweeting about 9 SNP mp's being reported by IPSA to the commons standard and privilage committee.

Yellow Tory

Yellow Tory

So SNP Scottish govt appear to totally agree with Osbournes budget by mirroring the policies. Hypocrisy of the highest level as they challenge the nasty party in Westminster yet do the same in Holyrood.

Anyway I hope the tag line Yellow Tories catches on now as they have been found out.
Sadly it wont, as the 'Its all the nasty party in westminsters fault' card will be valid for ever and a day in these guys eyes.

Its the political equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and humming real loud.
"Tartan Tories" has the benefits of alliteration, and previous traction.

A very good article frank and clear.

One has to wonder what Republic of Ireland would do also? uK is its main customer by such a vast margin. Heck in theory we could put in big tariffs for any goods transferred by road through UK to the EU. / We could choose not to permit any such travel. So new shipping routes would be needed / actually you have the issue of the English Channel which might not be allowed entry (Didn't Salmond actually say that in Europe )

One thing about SNats is that they on the whole racist, and the immigration issue plays strongly with them.
That'll be why the SNP support immigration and oppose the visa restrictions the current UK government are imposing... rolleyes

One must always remember that the SNP may say one thing, what happens in practice may be very different!

Do the SNP even have a policy on immigration?

This is pretty much meaningless- http://policybase.snp.org/snp_policy_on_immigratio...

But they actively oppose and prevent the immigration of English students, of course.

LOL - I was just going to say the same.

Yep, they're only racist towards the English so that doesn't count for fluff.

That's more down to England's perverse take on tertiary education funding, Scotland is far closer to the European norm.

Could you point to another European country who fund the education of foreigners, but discriminates against their own countrymen?

Even if you give credence to the largely discredited concept of race, the Scots and English are both, mostly, generic North Europeans.

There are cultural differences for sure, but they're probably greater within England (and Scotland for that matter) than they are either side of the border.

The English are certainly much less weird than Americans... eek (hehe)

That is why the scotlands are completely incompatible with them lot down there

We are of a different moral outlook which is incompatible with the evils of the empire building english

Once we are free from oppression we will have open borders apart from england as they will throw up a wall to stop people coming north for a our fairer society

Let me summarise

English folk don't want Scotland to leave as it means the UK is getting smaller and that is a bad thing.
But English folk do want the EU to get smaller by losing the UK and that is a good thing.

Do you get the feeling English people just think about England and what's best for that mythical land somewhere north by north east of Guildford?

No, but I also can't point to any other European country that doesn't treat tertiary education as the social good it undoubtedly is.

Fluff... care to comment why there are now 100,000 less student places under an SNP government.
I will get my popcorn - because your answer ( if you do answer ) is going to be a corker.
