SNP minority with Tories opposition would be fun. In reality would the Greenies work with the SNP? They'd be a workable majority coalition in all likelihood.

Oh god, that's even worse, give the greens actual power, look at Brighton with £3.50 an hour parking and traffic 'calming' (removal) and no park and ride.

Aberdeen would cease to function!

Well that's cooncil matters I think. Green leader said he's in favour of 60% tax rate even if it didn't raise any extra money for Scotland. Utter, utter, .

I can see the Greens leapfrogging the Lib Dems votes wise. But yeah, I wouldn't want them with a hand on the tiller either. I'd imagine they would end up marginalised if they did such a thing.

Some of these lefty "working class heroes" need to apply '70's labour govt. taxes to their current pay and see how they like it! In 1970, mine was 50p in the pound and more than that was 83p in the pound, hence the exodus of the wealthy to other countries.

When Maggie got in she halved my tax for a few years and we all lived really well until the whole thing went belly up with her hatred of socialism, otherwise it might of worked out.

SobI've just skimmed over the last few pages and it's the age-old same:

- SNP are scum
- Only plebs vote SNP
- The hate the English, etc.
- They're not fit for purpose
- Etc., etc.

Don't judge everyone by the actions of a few.

I'm voting in half an hour - both Conservative.

Why?

I think they're the only party and the only leader to offer strong opposition at Holyrood. And I agree with many of their policies and proposals.

Although I've voted SNP before, I've been very disappointed by them recently.
Hard to argue with that one to be fair, their record of government isn't that great.

I'm not voting, I pondered voting Tory but I can't be arsed - major case of voter apathy going on tbh.
You're not voting? confused

So you regularly visit this thread, share your views, put the world to rights, and then choose to not vote? confused

Weird. if I was a mod, you'd be banned from NP&E for life. laugh

You should.

The final irony of SNP tactics forcing a resurgence of the tories in Scotland wouod be delicious!
You have made enough comments on this thread which has a political theme, yet "can't be ar5ed" to vote.

You do realise this thread is not the real world, you actually get your chance to express a preference, yet decline the opportunity. No wonder it's so easily for sub standard politicians to get away with so much.
Agree with those comments. thumbup

I may Burger, I'm just feeling very disillusioned with the whole affair, sad I know.

Come to think of it, if I don't some smarmy prick will lump me in with the Jezza Kyle mob again, and that just won't do, he can suck my dick though, the prick, not Jezza.

beer two votes Tory, plus a few pints.

I really can't see a way back for the Lib Dems at the moment, they are really on their arse. The chap in charge is a total knobber too.
Do you mean Tim Farron (westminster Lib Dem) Or Willie Rennie, Scot lib dems?

AS i quite like Willie Rennie, he seems a bit more down to earth and isnt a fan of the SNP
I don't really get Willie Rennie; he seems like a pleasant enough chap but then he goes and overturns a perfectly innocuous motion made at their party conference to campaign against the illiberal and anti-science SNP moratorium on fracking. He wants democracy but only on his terms and shamefully dresses it up as greenwash when it isn't anything of the kind.

It's a free country - I have no problem with people not bothering to vote. Especially since most voters are idiots hehe

But that's just it though, they don't think that would ever apply to them. They think that every other person is a rich evil Tory that is to be taxed into oblivion because they are hiding money and then said money will be given to them as a reward for being a loyal left supporter.

Saw an SNP van today with a sticker on it offering free pizza at Yes Bar. No other party would allow this, although I have to say they have tapped very well into the mentality of some Scots.

I don't know if the van was official or not, but nothing would surprise me now.

On another note, I really don't know who to vote for today. Not SNP; Labour aren't strong enough to oppose SNP; Tories are but can I bring myself to vote Tory?

Mmm free pizza. Might pop in with a ukip badge on and see what happens!

Nothing dirty about voting Tory, or anyone, if you think they'll do the best job then go for it.

Same here. I'm probably most aligned to Lib Dem ideologically but burning my vote would do just as much to get them a seat. Can't vote Tory as that would give Westminster the wrong idea, can't vote Labour as they're a shambles, can't vote SNP as they're like the worst of New Labour with some tribalism thrown in.

I wonder if this is how Weimar felt- noone to vote for, only those to vote against. Looks like the US & UK has the same choice. I'll probably either spoil my ballot or vote Labour for the first time in my life- Brown was MP here so there's probably more chance of residual Labour voters being able to bag a seat or two. fk me what a mess.

At least The National(ist) is honest about it - a vote for the SNP is a vote for indyref2...
