That cover looks very Stalinist to my eyes. All hail the Dear Leader.

More national socialist to me. Classic propaganda image either way.

I was just at my local shop and someone was saying it looked like something kim jong would come out with in n.korea. I thought it was on the verge of going under last I heard?

SobI've just skimmed over the last few pages and it's the age-old same:

- SNP are scum
- Only plebs vote SNP
- The hate the English, etc.
- They're not fit for purpose
- Etc., etc.

Don't judge everyone by the actions of a few.

I'm voting in half an hour - both Conservative.

Why?

I think they're the only party and the only leader to offer strong opposition at Holyrood. And I agree with many of their policies and proposals.

Although I've voted SNP before, I've been very disappointed by them recently.
Fair play for your honesty burger, and your judgement.

Any sign of exit polls yet/general consensus?

Just back from voting, my god. I've never seen anything like it. 3 cars outside flying flags, YES stickers all over the place. The building opposite covered in SNP bunting, posters of Nicola Gurning, people with SNP rosettes outside and I kid you not, they even had a yellow wheelie bin. Our area doesn't even have yellow wheelie bins, where the fk did that come from?!

I felt intimidated with all that flying around.

Both votes conservative. This is getting way out of hand.

Could be a lot of people planning on going after work I suppose.

There was no evidence of any party badgering people outside the polling station when I went this morning. Having said that, it was Whitburn where political conviction is pretty far down the list of things likely to get people out their scratcher at 7am.

Hard to argue with that one to be fair, their record of government isn't that great.

I'm not voting, I pondered voting Tory but I can't be arsed - major case of voter apathy going on tbh.
I only dip in and out of these threads yet your name is familiar from them. Can't be arsed voting simply lumps you in with the Jeremy Kyle league who couldn't be arsed getting off the couch, I would reckon you care somewhat more than them.

Even a spoilt ballot says a lot more to the government than simply saying nothing.
Be careful how you spoil it, or it might be counted. hehe

Usually gets busy once people start coming home from work.
Never seen it so quiet during the day though.

Local conservative rep popped in. He seems quite hopeful for their chances of 2nd place.
They have my 2 votes to help.

Tactical voting 101; I held my nose and voted for the local incumbent despite her being Labour as I'd rather her than another SNP drone and there's no other realistic prospects, and Tory on the list vote as they're more likely to get a top-up than Labour.

I very nearly spoiled one of mine with a wee message. Living in Sturgeon's constituency there was little point in voting at all for the main seat and I thought a 'fk you' in her box would be a good way to express my thoughts.

But I couldn't bring myself to 'waste' it.

Two blue here also, in a hope of the Tories gaining second place.

Pint time.

Not quite that bad here but yeah, cars with SNP flags driving around, SNP supporter outside (both) polling stations that I passed earlier in the day, full-on cult of personality SNP posters.

Was planning on voting both Labour (guh!) but one ballot paper had a little single line of persuasion (Nicola Sturgeon for first minister) and Labour had "Kids, not cuts!" and my bullst allergy kicked in so I voted LD on that one. I think that's probably Nudge Theory in reverse.
