Apparently there's a recount going on in Clydebank for the Dumbarton constituency; clearly my tactical vote wasn't a complete waste of time.
She retains it for Labour with a margin of 109 votes! I was one of them! Probably. 13522 against 13413 for the SNP. Woof. I'm quite excited. More beer.
Congrats!

So I gave up at 12:30am smile and I had a feeling Scotland would strongly vote for SNP yet again and see barely any impact.

Appears to be the case - Scottish voters really do want SNP.

However it looks like Torys are really doing rather well so will this stop Sturgeon bleating "Toooryyy" in that weird accent she deliberately puts on when saying that word.

So Kezia Dugdale has LOST her seat so effectively lost the Scottish leadership at the same time. Hmm that didn't go too well now did it.

Labour are doomed, they will struggle to come back from this I suspect, it's not impossible however.

I see it didn't take long for the lies to begin continue on twitter when Nippy tweeted

" The SNP has tonight won an historic third term as Scotland's government. I pledge to be First Minister for all of Scotland. #SP16"

That'll be all of Scotland as long as it encompasses the 45 then... rolleyes

Time to push for a 100% tax on blue face paint and hammers bought specifically for the purpose of smashing Tunnocks Teacakes. thumbup

BBC now reckon SNP will have a minority with 63 seats, Tories 2nd with 33, Labour 23.

Hmmm, minority rule, or would the Greens climb into bed with them despite being parties that differ on a lot of key issues.

If it is a minority I suspect they'll do what they did 2007/11 and seek deals for individual bits of legislation.

SNP held mine, their share actually went up and he had a majority of 52% on a 52% turnout. Labour still second but every other party had gains at their expense, they were down nearly 16%

Same with us, except it was a +17% swing to the Conservatives and a seat stolen from the SNP hehe

There's a lot of faith been put on the Scottish Conservatives to provide a strong and credible opposition - let's hope they can deliver on that. I look forward to seeing how Ruth Davidson fares.

She needs to step up to the plate big time, it should be interesting - she certainly seems very capable.

No SNP majority and the Tories storming into second - about as good as we could have hoped for.

Fingers crossed that it should at least put the kybosh on IndyRef2 (ugh) for a while.

Agreed.

Although there's already talk of a 'Yes Majority' SNP + Greens, so....
