Late? Fairly sure just a few weeks ago, before that election thingy, that the SNP said it was all on time scratchchin

Last nights scotland tonight type program says no.

At least July next year, rather than december this year.

Ministers asked for interviews declined the requests.

But SNP is good for scotland and not like other parties.....

I can't believe Ms. Sturgeon (aka wee Jimmy Krankie) has been added to a list of the world's most powerful women. To me she is Scotlands version of Tony Blair, all about how she appears and no substance. Judging by a number of unionist Facebook pages she is the most hated woman in Scotland, yet certain sections of the media seem to fawn over every word, ignoring the fact of how badly the place is performing under her control, I just don't get how they can't see right through her.

Every couple of months I see a headline about work progressing on dualling of the A96 through awarding of contracts, only to discover it is just the announcement of a contract for the surveying of part of a route.

I'll be stunned if I manage to drive on DC all the way between Elgin and Inverness within the next 30 years at this rate.

Was on the stv news and everything.
I'm not overly bothered about that as I rarely go up that way.

More concerning as it's literally a 5 minute walk at worst is the A8/M8 upgrade.
Was told by workers that the Newhouse section was 7 weeks behind, that's only the first junction of the upgrades.
There is still Chapelhall, carnbroe/eurocentral, shaheed, showcase and ballistion junctions, plus all the new roads, bridges etc.

Don't see that lot being on time either...

Still, stronger for Scotland and all that pish.

I haven't heard such simplistic paint-by-numbers politics since the hey day of the SWP in the late 80's.

Luckily my family hasn't been split but this issue as, unlike many others, as we were able to pull back from a full blown argument. Inches away from it though.

What is it with Nats? You're simply not allowed to have another opinion especially, it seems, if you are Scottish.

FFS I'll do my own thinking, thank you very much.
Shouty intolerance; check.
Magic money tree economics; check.
Someone else's fault; check.

Three for three so far.

2nd most influential in UK behind the Queen? (Who has no opinion...)

In any case - she is influential person. Pretty much singlehandedly ensured nobody voted Labour and hence a Conservative and Unionist majority.

But you're forgetting wee fat Alex helped as well, telling people he was going to write Labours first budget. Seriously though I just don't get what people see in her. First Ministers questions has carried on where AS left off, never answer any difficult questions, lots of nudges and sly smirks. Nothing has improved as a direct result of her, I don't know how she can keep a straight face while saying Scotland has to be in the EU but that being in the UK is bad. The only influence she has on me is making me change channel every time her gurning mug appears, which seems to be every 5 minutes. Vile woman.

I agree (although I'd probably use more colourful language).

Problem is with the dearth of talent in the SNP and the cultish nature of the Salmond/Sturgeon show I fear we're stuck with her for a while yet.

I wish her man would impregnate her but I can understand his reluctance. It would be an act of some bravery.

Slightly worrying, is that what is important these days? I can't imagine the police in England asking anyone that question.

Can't be.

We were told that a yes vote would bring unrivalled riches.
We would have been one of the richest nations on earth.

Plus a shared currency with the rest of the U.K.
Who would have broken EU law and still let us build their war ships.
Plus we would have instant access to the EU. Alex had crucial information about that. So critical he couldn't share it with anyone.
All powered by the surge in oil prices and the second boom that the great doctrine of truth, the national spoke of.

When you look back at it all.
It's madness anyone believed it.
How people still believe it today is saddening.

Still, history shall look on it as a bullet dodged and a great example of how lies repeated enough can become accepted as the truth.
