Scottish Referendum / Independence - Vol 7

The stats are accurate, but to be expected when (a) many SNP supporters are driven by xenophobia and (b) Sturgeon previously said that Brexit would be a trigger for a second indyref. IMO the current situation is very much of the SNP's making - the threat of a Labour/SNP coalition following the last GE is what got us into this mess.

Krankie to be hotfooting it to Brusseles she's gointg o through Scotlands future to the wolves of the EU you watch.
Eh where did it say does Scotland's ballot????
How many different ways will Juncker come up with to say 'Non!'? The only feasible way of Scotland becoming an EU member anytime soon would be some special rules being drafted for them, and Schulz, Juncker etc have all said no to that more times than they've had hot dinners. Then there's the Spanish and other countries with restive regions that are watching these proceedings like hawks; anything likely to encourage the Catalans, the Basques, etc to seek independence will be vetoed up down and sideways.Eh where did it say does Scotland's ballot????
As an aside to political leanings in this thread, I visited "downtown" Edinburgh last night.
As "Scotland's front window to the world" I was amazed at the number of beggars on the streets and the amount of rubbish flying around in the breeze. ( I was walking from the Omni up Leith St and onto Princes St, so hardly the run down back streets).
I know all cities have similar issues, but I was surprised at how dirty and unloved the place looked.
Perhaps Nicola needs to fix the issues at home before worrying about those further afield...?

...and there's no need to worry, you'll qualify for Scottish/EU citizenship.
How generous, thanks Nick Grant said:
On a slightly different note, we have learned from this referendum that the people of Scotland and the people of London are more aligned in their thinking than most people in Scotland would have believed. Likewise with Westminster and Hollyrood. I hope we can put this knowledge to use going forward.
I don't think the UK serves London,or anywhere else, well either...Willy Nilly said:
It makes me wonder when the last time Sturgeon had a good seeing to was. There must be some be-kilted Scotsman somewhere that would take one for the team and calm the spiteful bh down.
I nearly brought my dinner up there ffs.Hearing her moaning about Tories/Westminster/Brexit is quite enough for any man, never mind... nope, I can't say it.
