You do know that Hadrian's Wall wasn't across the border as we now know it?

The Centre for Policy Studies has an interesting take on Scotland's prospects outside the Union. Perhaps Sturgeon should read their report before she goes calling ref mk2. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/jul/02/sc...

Supreme Leader Nicola and Comrade Alex will make lots of noise about a second referendum but even they know that the vote would go against the separatists again - we should just call their bluff.
I don't want to see another Scottish independence referendum - but, the people of Scotland voted to remain in a UK which was part of the EU.
...and at least some of them only voted "No" because of the lie that only a "No" vote would guarantee Scotland's place in the EU.

It did guarantee it, at the time.

If you want that guarantee to last forever then I want the once in a lifetime promise to last, erm, a lifetime.

did anyone see a report that suggested an independent Scotland would become Greece but without the sun.

Aye, it's guff.

Scotland collects/pays its taxes and has about 2.5x GDP/capita.

The French & Spanish aren't happy with the idea of Scotland being independent & part of Europe because it could give the Basque all the ammunition they need to claim independence.

Blimey and there was me thinking we were sending Scotland £9bn a year so they can keep their deficit in line with rUK's. Perhaps you can start sending us some money instead, so we can achieve this massive GDP per capita as well. Of course some evidence to back up your claim isn't likely to be forthcoming is it!

After having no luck in Brussels, you-know-who is still desperately trying to make the headlines.

That maybe true, but now Scotland has two new choices:

1. Out of the EU and in the UK
2. Out of the EU and out of the UK

They're the options and there's not a lot anyone can do about it.

It does show an enormous amount of desperation to stay in the lime light doesn't it. I do not recall anyone, on either side of the debate, raising any notion that existing EU residents would be treated any differently. It really is a non-issue!

Perhaps the government should reply requesting confirmation that, in the unlikely event of Scottish independence, the rights of all English residents in Scotland will be guaranteed. hehe

She's like the very dregs of the reality show desperados who flash their gash getting out of taxis, all to get on the sidebar of shame on the Mail website.

Literally nobody mentioned the issue during the campaign, she's just saying anything to get a few column inches and stay 'relevant' when she's anything but. What's next? 'Nicola Sturgeon gets EU tattoo' on her ankle? The ring of stars around her nipple?

that may need to rise, the deficit forecast to be 17 billion next year.
