I would gladly pay more tax to ensure the smooth running of public services, especially if it meant the bleating about Tory austerity stopped.
You can pay mine if you want. I'd rather not give them a penny.
Not quite what I had in mind, sorry jester

I really don't care for Edinburgh full stop tbh.
That doesn't surprise me laugh. Is there anywhere past the end of your street you do care for?

Oh don't. I tried to illustrate this latest round of robbery to a colleague the other week. She just couldn't get it. But SNP good is pretty much all she could trot out.

The SNP and their attitude to taxpayers money worries me. A lot.

I love Scotland and have spent a lot of time in the Central Belt as well as on both East and West coats - fanbloodytastic!
But if the Sturg gets her way it will be running on oil and gas fumes only very soon after "Independence" is gained!

Two things 1. I see our resident cyber Nat has resulted to name calling when truth does not go his way. 2. With no indy ref or eu ref on the cards now the PM can now stick it to the SNP they have as many seats as they can get but still makes f all difference.

A party on the oposition would do better to work with party in power and try an debate change than throw petty insults an whine about powers they won't use aby way. The SNP have reacheda high water mark. They should have been proud used powers they had made Scotland better bit instead chose to moan an do f all.

Most people saw this was all the SNP were good for when it came to indy ref and I can't help think they have missed an open goal for the sake of a dream not shared by the majority of Scots
If I'm the "resident cybernat you refer to, two things:
1. I didn't resort to name calling, I responded to it and asked him to go away. Look back through his posts to me and count the insults. Then look for mine.
2. I get that one side won't persuade the other by insults. Sadly, I think there are people on both sides that simply won't listen to the other side of the argument, and others that will dispute every aspect of the other side's argument. Some will say I'm in that one or other of those categories but they are wrong about that. I do listen and consider and research and make up my own mind.

So my decision is to fk off out of here and leave you all to it. Life is waaay tooo short to have to put up with people throwing insults around.

Have a nice life, independent or not.

No improvement after devolution; just what are the Government's priorities? Shouldn't this have been one of them?

All this talk of persuading people to change sides?! That cannot happen unless the people with the power themselves change their stance because they have presented their positions, and thinking people make up their minds based on that. Anything else is just noise (like 'The Vow' for example - a trope with no basis in fact).

Yet you repeat the propaganda of rags like 'The National' and present the viewpoint of proven liar 'Rev' Stu as if they are gospel. confused

Surely Westminster has the right to say something along the lines of 'stop pouring 'our' money down the drain you incompetent pricks. Toe the line or we'll shut your talking shop down, and run it from here'.

This can't go on - can it?

It's a real shame Scotland didn't follow England and Wales and majority vote for Brexit. That would have shut her up forever!

Looks like time to start thinking of a move down south. I honestly don't think I can face going through it all again.

I don't get it?!?! If the reports are true that an independent Scotland would be the poorest country in Europe and in a similar situation to Greece, would they even qualify to get in the EU?
