As an aside, I do think the Lycra clad brigade should be banned from using the National cycle network. They use their bikes as mobile gyms and have no consideration for families who want to use the routes for leisurely rides in the countryside. They can tear past you at speeds of 30mph which is very dangerous if children are cycling on the paths.

As a motorists and a cyclist, I tend agree. If you must, then make sure you fit a bell and slow down to pass people.

On my daily ride (to keep fit), the roads are narrow in places, not enough for two cars to pass at times, I often encounter people walking, people walking with their dogs, horse riders.

Never had a problem, then again I consider myself to be a careful and courteous rider/driver.

I couldn't be arsed to read another predictable thread, but.....

Has anyone blamed the parent yet, for allowing his child to be in the way of the cyclist?
Oh hell yes. The usual PC spandex clad muppets tried that very thing about 4 pages back.

Thank god we have heroes like you hoping cyclists undertake him for some reason.

You still haven't explained why you hoped someone would undertake you.

Just asking for clarification.

Some would assume you were some kind of coward brave enough to harm those more vulnerable than yourself on the road but not even brave enough to justify it on a website. Behaviour probably symptomatic of a life of frustration and powerlessness. Still, I'm sure that isn't the case, I assume you have your own reasons for making a daft statement and running away when given the chance to explain it. Toddle pip old boy

Think what amateur Freud crap you want old fruit.

My life is a joy and has been very rewarding. I feel no frustration or lack of power at all, in fact I couldn't be happier. My ignoring your repeated demands seem, on the other hand, to be really frustrating you. Good, what fun.

Now there you go again getting all confused! Please do not mistake my refusing to bow to your pathetic attempts to goad me as 'dodging and weaving'. It is simply that I will not jump to your command like a dog. I am at a lose to understand why you think you are special and that people MUST answer your questions?
