Maybe they realise it isn't terribly efficient or sensible for a bunch of people to sit in a ton of metal on their own, surrounded by thousands of other people doing the same thing twice a day, for a distance that they could cycle in less than an hour if they weren't so lazy?

Thank you however it doesn't say "by cars" now does it. Could some be by cyclists?PoleDriver said:

Also (and I will probably be flamed for this), why let your child run out of the gate like that? You never know what is heading down the pavement.
Not condoning what has happened at all. However, the kid could have run into the road too.

And this is why car drivers should be issued with cattle prods!
To prod each other when they act stupidly? In my experience all of the above is an almost daily occurance and I am sick of them bleating on about how unfair it is and how the world is against them. I wont call it stupidity as i refuse to accept the fact that so many can survive being that dim. I see it as a deliberate act and they should be punished for it.

Its pointless arguing with him, I've seen him pop up in loads of anti cycling threads. The fact is he chooses to ignore poor car drivers and concentrates on the few poor cyclists he sees. He is blinkered.
Oh you have, have you? News to me. But then again like all cyclenazi's you know best.I hope you try and undertake me one day.

It's not health in my case, but I'm pretty much flat out all day and my little time in the car is the only peaceful/non exerting thing I do all day. Replace that with cycling and I'd be a wreck, mentally and physically. You may call it laziness, w_w, I call it doing as I please.
I'm not saying you have to at all, I am a fair weather cyclist at best. I was merely responding to the moans upthread about "fking things up for the motorists who pay for it all" as if it was a bad thing that accommodations are being made for road users who aren't in cars. S10GTA said:
