From reading that it appears to be based on the word of a 13 year old and school gossip.

Is that evidence enough to plaster the name and image of the accused all over the media? Surely there are now rules to allow anonymity until a guilty verdict is reached as this could ruin the career, relationship and mental wellbeing of the teaching assistant?

The evidence is sufficient for there to be a realistic prospect of conviction, so it's as good as any to be covered by the media.
