Your English has given me my biggest laugh of the day - thank you.
Easily amused?
Says more about the rest of my day than anything else.

Still, 30 mile bicycle pub-crawl to look forward to this evening...

Fair enoughsmile Watch out for parked cars, though!

100,000+ insured via British Cycling
67,000 insured via the CTC
12,000 insured via the LCC

That's before we get started on the ones who have purchased a separate policy that includes it. A lot of theft/damage policies throw it in because it costs so little to provide, as do some household policies.

Until we're told we can't then I guess so. You don't have to press the link to open it you know, it's a free country. If a title doesn't interest me, then I walk on by.

I have third party insurance with British Cycling, costs me about £30 a year.. I can't think of anyone I know that doesn't have some sort of cover either through their home insurance, CTC or BC.

Edit, the insurance is included with the £30 cost of joining BC, not just £30 for the cover.
So can that cover you for, for want of a better description, automotive style "fender-benders" like this? I would have thought insurance for bikes would mainly cover it getting nicked or you stacking it into a hedge. Though I guess some bikes today cost so much they'd cost more to replace than the damage they can inflict on a car.

Here's the relevant bit from their webpage https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/membership/artic...

I'd rather avoid an accident at all costs, they tend to hurt when you're on a bike, but sometimes accidents can happen and there's a lot of expensive metal out there on the roads. I'd rather be covered for third party damage than have to shell out to replace a bike and bodywork repair which can easily get into four figures.

Correct - £10 million worth of liability insurance, plus legal assistance, all included as one of the perks of membership. It's 3rd party only, so won't replace or repair my bike or pay out for my injuries, but anything I could conceivably do to anyone else would be covered.

Haven't you noticed? Cyclists are the new Muslims on NP&E. And you might have noticed the same anti-[insert hate target here] brigade are all over the same threads.

I'm a moderate cyclist and I'm waiting for calls for me to come out and protest against these extremist cyclists.

Serious question - why would someone riding a pushbike not look where he was going? Is it to do with aerodynamics?
